The other day in class we learned about the importance of educational data! It’s hard to imagine teachers having to use data in their classrooms, but teachers can’t be successful without it!

This semester we had a book study with our PLC’s. We read “Making Thinking Visible.” We learned so much about how students think and different strategies to encourage deeper thinking!

Throughout the year, we wrote letters back and forth to second grade students in Birmingham! We got to see how their writing developed over the course of the school year. We even got to meet our pen pals on STEAM day!

My PLC has been the biggest blessing of junior year! I have learned so much from each of these girls, and I am so thankful to the Education program for being us together! I am so proud of how we have grown as a group!

We have so much fun in class! Having supportive and encouraging classmates makes it so much better!

STEAM day was a blast! My PLC taught students about rockets! We used a stomp rocket as a demonstration, and then talked about why rockets are sent into space! We taught them about gravity and force!

Today I am thankful for our professors who encourage us so well! We spent some time in class today reflecting on what Philippians 4:8 means to us!

It was a great experience sitting in on a Trace Crossings faculty meeting!

I made all of my students at Trace Crossings personalized bookmarks! Spending time in the classroom with these students was my favorite part of Junior Year!

Dr. Wood gave us some great resources for teaching gifted learners! We need to be intentional with the types of assignments we give our students, and choice boards are a great way to do that!

Math is fun!! I loved learning about strategies and games to engage students in practice!

This was such a fun week at Trace Crossings! I loved being able to help decorate!
