"Children learn most effectively when instruction follows an evidence‑based cycle: grounding facts in conceptual understanding, using brief timed practice to make those facts automatic, then returning to discussion and reflection to deepen that knowledge." journals.sagepub.com/doi/epub/10.11…

It often seems we are suffering from a lack of historical awareness. Thanks to @NationalHistory young people throughout the country have been grappling with our past for 50 years. We should applaud them and their teachers and the @NationalHistory staff for making our past all the more present.

Did you know NHD has a 50th Anniversary Honorary Committee? From legendary documentary filmmaker @KenBurns and @LibnOfCongress Dr. Carla Hayden to journalists from @PBS @NewsHour @CNN & professors of history, we are honored to have these leaders in history supporting NHD. #NHD50

Cliques divide people into insiders and outsiders. Healthy groups offer everyone a sense of belonging. It's not enough to be polite. It's critical to convey that we value each member's contribution. The foundation of respect is making sure others feel seen and heard.

For managers who want to encourage AI use in their teams, psychological safety is a good guide: 1) Share with your team that you will be exploring AI together, no one knows what it can do so you need help 2) Publicly share mistakes you make 3) Demonstrate curiosity & experiment
Ethan Mollick@emollick

Reminder that “psychological safety” isn’t a buzzword, but a research-backed way of making sure everyone on the team feels comfortable taking risks. At studies at Google it was the key predictor of innovative team success. Use the checklists on your team! rework.withgoogle.com/guides/underst…

Students are more likely to take an active role when they know where they are going and how to monitor their progress and seek feedback. When students take charge of their learning, they open the door to endless possibilities. #StudentEngagement #VisibleLearning

Why are sons of NBA players so much more likely to become NBA players? Genetics are a big thing, obv. But another big thing is early training in form. The biggest difference I could find between NBA players who had fathers in the NBA and other NBA players is they're great FT shooters. Sons of NBA players make up 8 % of the top 50 FT shooters of all time. A significant majority shoot free throws much better than their fathers did, as well.
