I am a Cross Riverian & will say things as it is...Donald Duke had an area of strength-tourism & environment, most of his works were for aesthetic in the Urban centre which projected the state. He left CRS debt from TINAPA project, but Peter Obi left his people assets

COMING TO AMERICA! One of the publications that shaped my sports journalism dream was this special Complete Sports Magazine in 2003 (or 2004) where the publisher, Dr Sunny Ojeagbase (God rest his soul), travelled to the US to interview former Super Eagles stars then living in the States and working in football. I remember he interviewed the likes of Samson Siasia. Stephen Keshi, Michael Emenalo (who was on the cover page, carrying his daughter, he just lost his wife then) and others. I lusted, typically like a teenager, after the prospect of being able to travel to the United States for football. Yes, I already made my sports punditry bow on TV in 2001 but that magazine made me see the possibility that lies ahead in a profession that has more “a n gbadun yin o” than “bank credit alerts”. Dr Ojeagbase narrated how he travelled from one American state to another to get this job done. I bought the magazine for N300 but like many of my magazines then, one senior Bros would “borrow” it like Abacha was doing with the Paris Club - never to be returned.  Over 20 years later and my own American Dream is coming to reality. When I joined @ACL_Sports in 2017, I didn’t know how far it could take me. I was merely captivated by the title that my irrepressible Publisher @CalvinEmeka offered me; Chief Football Writer. Ha! Emi nikan tan? Same title as @philmcnulty? I’ve been a huge BBC (radio and web) fan since 1998 so I can resonate with this. Well, almost nine years later and I’m set for my eighth international football competition and the biggest of them all, touring American states to report football! As if I didn’t know how big this is, the US visa interviewer “googling” ACLSports.com and smiling was enough to show me that the work of nine years borne out of the vision of one man (@CalvinEmeka) has given life to a dream from decades back. Before joining ACLSports in 2017, I had never been to Kutonu (as spelt in my Ijesha accent) but one month after, I was in Cameroon for a Super Eagles game and within the first 12 months, I had been to Ghana, Morocco and Russia. It was clearly a sign for me - THIS IS MEANT FOR ME! Nine years later and by August 1, I would have counted (by God’s grace) eleven countries in four different continents, living my dream of covering football with the help of ACLSports and helping to actualise the watchword God gave me 15 years ago in Psalms 19:3 (KJV). It’s time to go on this FIFA World Cup 2026 journey and I welcome you to come with me (us at @acl_sports), for sponsorship, support and encouragement. ALOHA

*Take a close look at this!* "DO NOT let ANYBODY gaslight you. Arsenal were NOT boring this season. Sure, we had games where we needed to dig in and be pragmatic but we also played very expansive games where we ran people over. Here’s an analytical breakdown of Premier League clubs in the 2025/26 season by total league wins and estimated distribution of wins by margin (1-goal, 2-goal, 3-goal, 4-goal and 5+ goal victories). *Key findings* •Arsenal FC combined the highest number of wins with the most balanced spread of dominant victories. Their title-winning campaign featured both strong control and defensive solidity. •Manchester City had the league’s most explosive attack profile, recording the highest share of 3+ goal wins among top clubs. •Manchester United and Aston Villa relied more heavily on narrow victories, suggesting efficient rather than dominant performances. •Mid-table clubs such as Fulham FC, Sunderland AFC and Everton FC won most matches by a single-goal margin, reflecting the unusually compressed competitive balance of the season. •Only a handful of teams consistently achieved 4+ goal wins: oArsenal FC oManchester City •Manchester United oAston Villa oChelsea FC oBrighton & Hove Albion *What this says tactically* There were effectively three “win profiles” in the league: 1.Dominant high-margin teams oArsenal oManchester City These sides regularly converted superiority into comfortable scorelines. 2.Efficient narrow-win teams oManchester United oAston Villa oFulham oSunderland These clubs accumulated points through tight matches and game management. 3.Inconsistent volatility teams oChelsea oTottenham oWest Ham Capable of big wins occasionally, but lacked consistency. One notable pattern of 2025/26 was how few clubs accumulated many 3+ goal victories compared with some recent Premier League seasons. That aligns with broader observations that the league became unusually compressed and competitive outside the top two." #Copied
