Just under 2 hours to the deadline and this is where I’m at. With Gordon and Timber out, I’m currently looking at Andersen and Mané coming in. José Sá could also return vs Spurs, which helps. I only have 1FT and plenty ITB, but I need to keep funds back for Haaland in GW35, so that limits how aggressive I can be. To avoid starting Mané, I’d need to sell either Gordon or Timber, but with the blank gameweek, options are pretty thin. I’m already doubled up on United, so Casemiro doesn’t really appeal. Maybe a Liverpool mid, or even Everton, but nothing stands out. At this stage, I’m not looking to use a transfer on a goalkeeper so one of the above it will be…

GW28 captaincy is going to be interesting. Salah, Haaland and Bruno all feel like strong options. Salah would carry a big EO edge over Haaland, which definitely adds another layer to the decision. Could we see managers lean towards Bruno, given he returned twice in the reverse fixture while Haaland blanked vs Leeds?

@GameweekGuru Maybe a wild take but I think Semenyo and Szobo/wirtz can cover both. I don’t see Palmer as an essential sell as he plays in 31

GW28 bus team looks ropey, as expected with Arsenal + Chelsea. Palmer ➝ Ouattara feels likely. From there it’s a choice: Bowen ➝ Haaland (safe, but makes BGW31 awkward) Or go Salah. Great run to DGW33 and massive differential appeal. Which way would you go?

Answer: Thomas Aquinas. I’m not saying that Aquinas believed in the imputed righteousness as articulated by the 16th century Reformers. I think it’s pretty clear that Aquinas’ view of original sin and justification rested on ontological rather than legal-forensic categories. When Aquinas distinguished between the exterior imputation of righteousness by human judgment and God’s interior working of righteousness through the operation of charity as God remits sins, he effectively dismissed the notion of imputed righteousness from Christian doctrine. Nonetheless, the quote is interesting as such verbiage by Reformers (while thought of differently in its implication and application of course) is far from an invention in the 16th century.
Wes Huff@WesleyLHuff

Without looking it up, guess who said it: "Therefore, the hope of justification must not be placed in them [the law's moral precepts], but in faith alone!" I'll give you a hint, it was written in Latin in the 13th century.

Wildcard Locked In 🔒 GW24 WC played to reshape the structure and attack the fixtures. Definitely some risk involved with DGW26, but the upside is there if it lands. Currently 42K OVR, time to trust the process now. Good luck all 🤝

I didn't realize just how much Jack Kruse understands, until I found the truth He is a 23rd century physicist; I was a 23rd century materials engineer The network of interpersonal and global relations in the world, are these not electric too? What happens when you press upon a network of electromagnetic forces that are oscillating in a way that has decoupled to truth? Do people ever listen to reason? Do people think? Or is the only thing that is possible, to gradually shift the vibes across centuries, pulling them into a new stable set of oscillations? And where did the current vibes that are destroying the world come from? Not so much from who, but how do they keep amplifying? Can complex systems truly be orchestrated top down, or is there something inside everyone that oscillates in a certain way, something that sustains the lies? Is there not a root lie from which all chaos and contradiction emerges?

Another reason I left Nashville. No grid maintence = tons of DE. Also because of NES power grid build out one can see why the TN Titans practice facility posts the numbers it does. Does all electricity use generate radiation? yep. Does electric power grids that are archaic generate more nnEMF, dirty electric power, and polarized light for the end user? YEP Does that translate into more injury and DISEASE. Yep. Anyone in Nashville or SF might want to capture the ICD 9 and 10 codes of local hospitals going back to 2010 by zipcode. Once you do, you'll know why I moved out of Nashville. It is the same reason the Titans cannot keep anyone healthy through a contract. Insert the SF 49ers for the same problem with a different etiology. They brought the problem to their football team when they upgraded that power plant adjacent to Levi Stadium = Inverse Square law. Does all electricity use generate radiation? Yes, it is true. All electricity use from our power grid generates radiation, specifically extremely low-frequency (ELF) electromagnetic fields (EMF) from the movement of electric current in power lines, wiring, and devices. This radiation, which includes both electric and magnetic fields, is a form of non-ionizing radiation and is present whenever current flows, from household appliances to high-tension power lines. Sources of radiation Power lines and wiring: Any electrical conductor carrying current, including overhead power lines and the wiring in your home, produces EMF. Household appliances: Almost all electrical devices generate ELF-EMF when turned on, including refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, and computers. Other electronic devices: Other products, such as televisions and some smart devices, also emit radiation. Electrical current: The radiation is generated by the acceleration and deceleration of electrons as a current flows through a circuit. Is all this radiation generated polarized? Yes, virtually all electricity use generates electromagnetic radiation (EMR). Moreover, this man-made radiation is polarized extremely low frequency (ELF) radiation. Polarization of the Radiation Man-made EMR is Polarized: Unlike most natural EMR (such as sunlight), which is unpolarized (oscillates in random orientations), the EMR from human-made electrical sources is polarized. Melanin is the only protein capable of handling polarized light. Fixed Orientation: Man-made EMR is produced by electrons oscillating in a specific, forced direction along wires or within circuits. This gives the electric and magnetic fields a defined, consistent plane of oscillation (linear, circular, or elliptical polarization depending on the source geometry, e.g., 3-phase power lines produce circularly/elliptically polarized fields). Biological Implications: Some scientists theorize that the polarized nature of man-made EMFs, rather than their intensity, might be a key factor in their potential biological effects, as this coordinated oscillation can force charged molecules within biological tissues to move in a specific, unnatural way. Health agencies such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI)continue to study potential health effects, classifying ELF fields as "possibly carcinogenic to humans (group 2B)" based on some epidemiological studies suggesting an increased risk of childhood leukemia. NFL, 49ers/Titans team officials and their reporters do not want to know because they hate first principle thinking.

I like Martínez as an FPL pick. Villa have a very friendly fixture run and a strong defence overall. They’re joint 3rd for goals conceded, only behind Arsenal and Man City, and Martínez ranks 4th for saves per 90 (excluding low-minute GKs). The concern is xGC. Villa sit 4th worst in the league there. Going Martínez gives me fixture security and no GW31 blank, unlike Raya (and possibly Sánchez). The downside is the £0.5m premium over Verbruggen, who I’m also considering. Worth the extra £0.5m?

Early WC24 draft 🧠 This is the direction I’m leaning at the moment. The fixtures look good, there’s a bit of flexibility over the next few GWs, and I like that it leans slightly into lower-owned picks. The midfield captaincy options also really appeal to me. What jumps out first?

@GameweekGuru cheers Tom. 0 currently after bringing in Watkins for Ekitike. Fancy Forest then? I was thinking my squad needs to start to pivot toward Chelsea for their run. Guess WC will be popular once everyone is back from AFCON.

@FPL_Regrets How many FTs? I think Welbeck and KDH need to go. Could look at Igor Jesus and Tavernier/Anderson to bring in some differentials with good fixtures coming up.

Will always be difficult to justify Saka to Rice, unless there’s a desperate need for the money. Saka is ticking over nicely, and he’s capable of doing better than Rice over next 4-5. Swapping Arsenal players is never going to be top of the to-do list I expect. Rice is good, but there’s always a more important move for me. I did consider Saka to rice to fund Ekitike a few weeks ago, but I think I would have regretted that.
