I am always deeply emotional, even to the point of tearing up, whenever I hear the words, “…but Jesus saved me.” The reason is simple: I can completely relate to it. God’s saving grace is so beautiful, always transforming a hopeless situation into a glorious testimony. Honestly, He did not have to save us. We do not deserve it, yet in His love, so powerful and mighty, He cannot watch us suffer, remain lost, or wander in confusion without stepping in. Time and time again, no matter how many times we decline His help, He still reaches out to save us. The Scripture says, “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us,” and that further proves that there is absolutely nothing God will not do to save a lost sheep.

Understanding Spirit, Soul, and Body In Christianity, human beings are made up of three parts: spirit, soul, and body. Each part has a different role, yet they all work together to form a complete person. The spirit is the deepest part of man. It is the part that connects with God. Through the spirit, a person can sense God, pray, and have spiritual awareness. When a person is close to God, it is their spirit that becomes alive and responsive to Him. The soul is the center of personality. It includes the mind, emotions, and will. This is where thinking, feeling, and decision-making take place. The soul is where a person struggles with choices, desires, and thoughts every day. The body is the physical part of man. It allows us to live and function in the physical world. Through the body, we speak, walk, work, and interact with everything around us. God designed these three parts to work in harmony. The spirit should lead by being connected to God, the soul should agree by being renewed in truth, and the body should obey by carrying out right actions. When these three are in disorder, a person experiences inner conflict. But when they are aligned under God’s guidance, a person lives with purpose, peace, and balance. In summary: • Spirit → hears God • Soul → makes decisions • Body → carries out actions You may think about praying (soul), feel led (spirit), but your body is the one that actually kneels and speaks the prayer. And sometimes all three don’t agree: • Spirit: “Don’t do this” • Soul: “I feel like doing it” • Body: “Let’s go and do it” That inner conflict is what many of us experience as temptation or struggle.
