Closing: The Twitter (X) Slow Chat was a fun experience! It was great to collaborate with fellow students from other EDTE classes. I loved seeing what everyone had to say and sharing ideas. I looked forward to it every evening. Very insightful! #EDTE4200 #CSUBTED @Duncannedd

@tom_karnes A4) I would go to fellow teachers for tech tool recommendations. Either from my school or online. The tool will be a good fit if it serves the objective/principle AND it engages the students in a fun way! #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @doctor2pi

@tom_karnes A4) I would definitely go to other classmates or teachers to gather new ideas for new technology usage. I would also try them out to see what works best for me. It's important to constantly find new tools to utilize and expand our knowledge. #csubedte4200 #CSUBTEd @Duncannedd

@tom_karnes A4) I would reach out to colleagues in my department. This would provide insight on whats working around campus, and what’s working for my specific subject. It would also help to reach out to teachers who have taught my students previously. #CSUBEDTE4200 #CSUBTED @Duncannedd

@Ststansberry A3) Using technology addresses multiple learning styles and provides kinesthetic learning, visuals, auditory scaffolds, and translation needs for ELL students. One tool that I have used is DuoLingo & Quizlet (flashcards for new words). @DrEddiesClass #CSUBTED

@Ststansberry A3) When thinking about multilingual learners, educators can use google translate or programs like mylexia.com to make a positive impact on student success. My advice would be to try even if it seems intimidating at first. #CSUBTED @DrEddiesClass

@Ststansberry A3.) In terms of tech tools in the classroom, the most consistent would be Google Translate. However, I have also heard of the app called Talking Points which automatically translates messages! As for advice, I would say patience is key! #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @Duncannedd

@doctor2pi A2) A technology resource I would recommend to other future or current teachers to use would be Nearpod. This resource is helpful because it keeps all learners engaged and participating for any subject content matter for a lesson or even just for review. #CSUBTED @DrEddiesClass

@MadiGrayteaches @doctor2pi Hi Madi, great response! I also used this app when I was in high school and found it to be very effective! As you mentioned, it can be used by parents as well, making it more accessible to students who don’t necessarily own a cell phone. #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @Duncannedd

@doctor2pi One technology resource I would recommend is the use of remind 101. As a student in high school I loved the use of this & reminders, to bring certain materials, etc, kept me up to date. This works well & could be tied to the students/parents phone. #CSUBTED #EDTE4200 @doctor2pi

@doctor2pi One resource I would recommend is the online game Kahoot. Not only is this a fun and effective way of assessing students, it’s also free! Teachers can make their own study sets specifically for their students, taking into account inclusivity. #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @Duncannedd

@doctor2pi A1. Parents and teachers can utilize google mail in order to support students needs. Google mail facilitates communication between teachers and parents by supporting ELL with google translate, making communication more accessible to them. #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @doctor2pi

@TiffanyIR @doctor2pi @tom_karnes Hi Tiffany! I like how you brought up Parent Square as I don’t see it mentioned very often. My younger brothers school district uses this and my mom loves it! From what I’ve seen, the app is easy to use and a great resource. #EDTE4200 #CSUBTED @Duncannedd

@doctor2pi A1.) Technology can be a great source of communication for a teacher & parent. Of course, keeping in touch with one another so as to discuss a students needs would be the best option. This can be done through email, Microsoft teams, or Class Dojo. @Duncannedd #CSUBTED #EDTE4200
