The guy just landed a spacecraft on a comet — one of the most impressive scientific achievements in years. His reward? A public struggle session because his bowling shirt had scantily clad women on it. Helen Andrews points out the quiet cost of institutional feminization: HR departments now hunt down any maverick personality and stamp it out. We’re losing innovators we’ll never even know about, all because someone focused on the shirt instead of the comet. This is how wokeness actually works. Have you seen real excellence get punished for something trivial like this?

@newstart_2024 What’s worse is how deeply unattractive she is. I could see someone platforming her if she was extremely attractive but she’s not. Not even close. Just an ugly, whiny, pseudo-intellectual college student who hates men.

@newstart_2024 It’s not an either/or. His shirt was in poor taste. To only focus on that instead of his achievement was also in poor taste (and moreso).

@moonsewage @FinanceLancelot Dude. Weatherproof protects you from the “elements”, which can possibly include elements from space too. Are you really that dumb and ignorant?

Why did Artemis II have 4K cameras inside the capsule but 240p cameras outside the capsule?

@datrearden @coldcallsniper Ohhh, it just occurred to me that you might be one of those “strong and silent” types who thinks speaking in code with your one-liners makes you look “cool” and “manly”, amirite? Newsflash, it DOESN’T.

@FinanceLancelot Because conditions an outside camera has to operate in. Seen any mass-produced 4K cameras that can be subjected to daily temperature swings from a hot oven to below zero, in vacuum, while being bombarded with cosmic rays? Space-hardened technology lags behind consumer by decades.

@datrearden @coldcallsniper How is it gay (or retarded for that matter) for wanting to see your wife’s booty? As far as the entire world is concerned, that’s a normal red-blooded male’s natural way of thinking. 🤤 So let’s have it, b!tch!

The Smashing Pumpkins have pretty much always been a huge fucking joke. Not a single person has heard their last, like, SIX albums, and they’ve been dropping flops for a quarter century. Maybe you love them, but to say their legacy outclasses that of Nirvana is insane.
Robb Skidmore@robbskidmore

Nirvana’s music does not stand the test of time. But the Smashing Pumpkins does. So ultimately Billy Corgan won out against Kurt Cobain. Nirvana was hugely popular but I never listen to it anymore. I find Smashing Pumpkins more musical and listenable. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is a truly great album. Nirvana’s best was probably Unplugged. What say you @batcountry1980 ?

@robbskidmore The Pumpkins have the better sound, Nirvana had the better cultural impact.
