אפליקציה בעלת השם החינני "האם אתה מת כבר?" טיפסה לראש טבלת האפליקציות בתשלום בסין... כמות לא מבוטלת של סינים כנראה הסכימו לשלם 8 יואן עבור אפליקציה שמבקשת מהן ללחוץ על כפתור מדי יומיים כדי להראות שהם עדיין חיים - ואם לא יעשו זאת - תישלח הודעה אוטומטית לאיש הקשר שהם קבעו מראש שמציעה לו/ה לבדוק מה איתם... ידידי רועי ברק הפנה את תשומת ליבי לתופעה המורבידית הזו - וההסבר נראה די מתבקש. יותר ויותר סינים אינם מתחתנים ו/או מביאים ילדים - וגרים לבדם. הערכות מסוימות צופות שיהיו כ-200 מיליון משקי בית של אדם יחיד בסין בשנת 2030. אלו חוששים שאם וכאשר ימותו מכל סיבה שהיא - אף אחד לא יידע מכך למשך זמן לא מבוטל. המפתחים כבר מדברים על השקעה לפי שווי של 10 מיליון דולר לאפליקציה שעלות הפיתוח שלה כנראה לא עולה על אלפי דולרים בודדים... זיהו צורך, כמו שנאמר ארחיב על הנושא היום בערוץ 13 ב"חדשות היום" עם אלי ראכלין

Happy Bitcoin Whitepaper Day! Did you know that in 2013 someone paid 0.596175 BTC ($55.46) to embed the Bitcoin whitepaper in the blockchain? And the transaction was confirmed in a block by @LukeDashjr's Eligius mining pool? How did they accomplish this without Taproot or OP_RETURN? Turns out they just stored the data as bare multisig pubkeys. Today, 17 (prime) years ago, the Bitcoin White Paper saw first light. Pretty amazing where we have gotten so far. "Code money", "hard asset", a "fine-tuned orchestra". So many moving parts, incentivized. A community. An ethos. A cpp creation that reminds us nature. Free yourself.

Timelocks decide when your Bitcoin can move. They’re essential for recovery and inheritance solutions. But here’s the catch: Most hardware wallets don’t show them, leaving users in the dark about timelock conditions. A silent UX + security gap.

This is a brutal reminder: If you don’t hold your keys, you don’t control your Bitcoin. “Trusted” hardware like Intel SGX / AMD SEV can be compromised with basic physical access - researchers just did it with a ~$1K setup. No custodian, cloud, or “secure enclave” changes this reality. #nyknyc

לפני כמה ימים הירושה מאמא ז"ל נחתה בחשבון. הרגשה מוזרה, כאילו זו המתנה האחרונה שאי-פעם אקבל ממנה. אני משקיעה די ותיקה. אני רגילה לעבוד עם סכומים גבוהים ונמצאת כבר שנים בחשיפה מנייתית משמעותית. אני יודעת רציונלית שברוב המוחלט של המקרים עדיף לדחוף הכל פנימה ולתת לכסף לעבוד מאשר לפרוס אותו למנות קטנות ולטפטף לשיעורין. השוק יקר, אבל בהינתן שגם כאן וגם בארה"ב מתכוונים להוריד ריבית למרות שוק גואה ואינפלציה מעל היעד, אני מבינה שהתבצרות במזומן היא לא אופציה. שאלוהים תעזור למי שלא מחזיק חלק משמעותי מההון שלו בשוק, כי בסביבת מאקרו כזו הפערים בין חסרי הנכסים לבעלי הנכסים רק ילכו ויעמיקו מכאן. ועדיין, קצת מופתעת לגלות שנאלמתי דום אל מול סכום גדול שצץ לו בחשבון ומביט בי בהמתנה להוראות. הקיפאון הרגשי הזה כנראה חורג מכל ניתוח רציונלי או ניסיון חיים.
