River Politics: Rotimi Amaechi constructed primary health centers in all 23 LGAs of Rivers State. He did more than just build them; they were outfitted with solar panels to preserve essential medicines and doctors' quarters for efficient service delivery. So, when ADC says they will build health centers in 779 LGAs, it is not abstract like Peter Obi and Bola Tinubu, who never initiated such as state governors. Rotimi Amaechi and Atiku will fix Nigeria.

@ehenryin Now that you already knew the end point of the coalition, I hope when Tinubu wins courtesy of the gift of your collective political f00lishness, you will also not say the end point was also known? You shameless, pathetic bunch of goal post shifters.

A man who ran away like a chicken from a united opposition coalition because he knew he would not be able to compete in an internal party primary is who Aisha Yesufu wants people to UNIFY with? 😂😂 Such odiferous, pungent, malodorous, schivelling hypocrisy!

Obi prefers to go from one podcast to another telling the tales of how things have been difficult for him because he is one of the leading opposition figures in the country than to unite with others for the sole purpose of getting the ruthless APC out of power. Interesting.

DEAR OPPOSITION — UNIFY UNDER PETER OBI This is for the Labour Party stalwart. The PDP loyalist who has not crossed over. The NNPP supporter. The ADC newcomer. The independent who cannot find a home. I am not here to tell you your party failed. I am here to tell you the arithmetic. Tinubu was declared winner 2023 with 36 percent of the vote. The opposition together took the rest. The math has never been the problem. The math has always favoured us. The problem is that we ran three campaigns where we needed to run one — and the man who was said to came first in that split is the man currently mortgaging your children's future. 2027 will not be won by the party with the loudest supporters. It will be won by the side that learns to assemble itself. Peter Obi is not the candidate of one camp. He is the candidate with the strongest record on the ballot, the broadest appeal across the regions, and the only campaign in 2023 that took Lagos from the man who claims to own it. Unifying under him is not surrender. It is strategy. And unifying does not mean dissolving your party, your platform, or your principles. Your senator can still be your senator. Your governor can still be your governor. What we are asking is one shared answer at the top of the ballot — and a shared commitment to govern together when we win. If you are a party operative, an organiser, a fundraiser, a strategist sitting inside one of the opposition parties — we have a coordination channel for you. Not to replace what you are doing. To connect it. The other side is unified. They are unified by stolen public money, but they are unified. We have to be unified by something stronger. Visit operationdann.ng. Bring your party. Bring your network. Let us assemble. Arise, O Compatriots.

@Big_Sinudo You have spent most of your time attacking Igbos and the south east since ameachi emerged as atiku's VP candidate, you come from an ethnicity that is very easy to cook, better be careful so you don't go and set up your people up for nothing

Most of the Easterners and Obidients often attack that ADC vice presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, saying that while he was minister of transportation, he did not execute any projects in the Southeast. However, the same people, Peter Obi supporters, have never questioned Minister Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu on the projects she has attracted to her region, the southeast. Rotimi Amaechi isn't the problem; they just wanted him to leave the ADC coalition, but he's a man of character. Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu of APGA is dining with the APC despite their Muslim-Muslim ticket. Very inconsistent people.

@HAHayatu The NDC is also a coalition formed to wrest power from Tinubu and the APC. If Atiku truly believes in building a united opposition, then he should also consider joining the NDC, rather than expecting every coalition to rally around him.

When I served in Rivers State during my NYSC, many schools had no teachers, so corps members were used to fill the gap. Some schools had buildings but lacked basic learning materials libraries had no books, laboratories had little or no equipment, and essential facilities were missing. Ironically, schools were repainted every few months and the surroundings were kept neatly maintained, while the more important educational needs were neglected. As for corps members’ state allowances, Rivers State owed many of us our monthly stipends. It was only after Wike became Governor that payments resumed, beginning with the corps members serving during his administration.

Since you guys like comparison, let's put the conversation in this direction. Gov. Rotimi Amaechi and Gov. Peter Obi were governors of their states during the same period. Nobody in Nigeria has relocated to Anambra State for greener pastures or a better life. We can't count the number of people who relocate to Rivers State for greener pastures, education, and jobs. In Rivers new jobs were opened as Shongi Farms and fish farms were established. RIWAMA and TIMRiv were established too. Rotimi Amaechi, as governor, employed both natives and non-indigents in different offices. How many jobs were created in Anambra? Did any non-Igbo get employed in Anambra State government? Peter Obi locked Anambra money in a bank. Your presidential candidate can't match the development strides of my vice presidential candidate.

Rivers State paid NYSC corps members ₦5,000 monthly if they were posted to urban areas and ₦10,000 monthly if they served in rural areas. Over an 11-month service year, that’s just ₦55,000 or ₦110,000 in total. During Amaechi tenure, the state relied heavily on corps members to teach in both primary and secondary schools because of the shortage of trained teachers. It’s difficult to justify owing the very people your education system depends on to keep many classrooms running. it was after Governor Wike assumed office that payment of these state allowances resumed, whereas many corps members had gone unpaid during the amaechi administration.

@ehenryin @Big_Sinudo When and where did you serve in R/S? In the history of Nig, never has there been a time that 14k people were employed at once, Amaechi employed 14k teachers at once. About NYSC allowance, the money stopped was the 100k Odilli was giving to corpers at the end of their service yr.

Bro, Rivers State has depended heavily on NYSC corps members as teachers in both primary and secondary schools for years. That’s why, during orientation, almost every corps member is posted to teach, with only medical and legal professionals typically exempted. The reality is that many of these schools lack the basics. Beyond neatly cut carpet grass, beautiful flowers, and quarterly repainting of school buildings, many classrooms remain empty, libraries have no books, laboratories have little or no equipment, and there are not enough permanent teachers. Cosmetic improvements alone cannot replace investment in quality education.

@ehenryin @Big_Sinudo If you did then you know you are just capping. So the 13k teachers that were recruited are ghost workers? Amaechi built over 500 schools 500 primary schools and most were not rehabilitated. Please let’s be sincere with ourselves. The structures are still there.

@ehenryin When did you serve? Because you are on the verge of making the works known, Rotimi Amaechi solved that problem by employing 14,000 teachers before leaving office to solve that problem.

Peter Obi invested Anambra State funds and gave 5% equity to his family business called Next International. If this was China 🇨🇳 (Peter Obi’s favourite country), he would have been beheaded for this fraud.
