I think you're oversimplifying what's happening under the hood. AI platforms are no different. 'AI Platforms' spitting out a fancy UI isn’t the mean to an end—it’s the abstraction layer that makes the compute usable. You aren't paying for the chat box; you're paying for the SOC2 compliance, the prompt engineering versioning, the multi-model routing, and the reliability that raw API calls can't give you at scale.
