In the Ohio state legislature yesterday, the farthest-right GOP candidate was supposed to be elected Speaker by the body’s huge GOP majority. Surprise: 22 less-hard-right Republicans joined 32 Democrats to elect a more moderate Republican leader instead. ohiocapitaljournal.com/2023/01/04/mod…

Unfortunately, Ohioans will not be able to benefit from this regulatory change because Ohio law states that Mifepristone must be dispensed only by physicians and not by any other medical professional.

Ohioans unequivocally deserve the freedom to vote. This shameful, anti-democratic legislation creates barriers to the ballot box, taking power away from the people of Ohio. The right to vote is our most fundamental freedom and it must be protected.

Must be nice to be someone whose rights have never been beholden to a Supreme Court ruling in June or a middle-of-a-December-night debate in the Ohio Legislature.
