Why is stealing from artists alright? Nothing is being stolen with the use of AI. If AI basing generative works on previously made pieces shared in public is stealing, then so is every other piece of traditional art both physical and digital because most if not all artists these days base their work styles on other works they have seen and liked. This happens on a subconscious level as well even if you don't want to admit it. One of my best pieces of crappy art has inspiration of Bob Ross style painting on it. Using your logic, that means I'm effectively stealing from Bob Ross even though I've done 100% of the work on that one incomplete mountain view with the small little misty forest at its base. Continue preaching out to the void. You and many other artists out there are fueling the flame you're trying to put out, causing it to grow larger faster and faster. Either adapt and accept AI is here to stay, or get lost with your whiney virtue signaling that drives more people towards AI and drives away potential customers you could have had because they seen how you're treating others just for using AI. The tool has it's uses, good and bad. And most people use it for good, just like I use it for the fun of it. Just because I use AI for the fun of it, doesn't mean we don't appreciate the art people make.
