"Luck" has so much to do with what you are not doing. You don't let small problems compound. You don't destroy your health. You don't stay in an anxiety-inducing environment. You don't waste time with arguments about things that won't matter in the long run. You don't get angry and burn bridges over pride and ego. You don't lose yourself by trying to fit in a sick society. You don't let yourself consumed by cynicism and negativity. You don't disrespect yourself by giving your time to people who don't care about you. And suddenly, you will now find so much time to invest in yourself, in your family, in lifelong friendships, in goals that matter, and that's when "luck" will also start finding you:

“In 1903, the biggest industry in the world was whaling. It disappeared almost overnight.” Jimmy Carr dropped this on the Joe Rogan podcast and it made me rethink how fast entire economies can vanish. Whaling collapsed in about 18 months once petrochemicals replaced whale oil. The same thing happened with horse manure in New York City — the streets were literally covered in it, brownstones had steps to stay above the filth, and laws couldn’t fix it. Then Henry Ford’s cars arrived, and within a few years the horses (and the problem) were basically gone. Carr’s point: the resources and industries we treat as permanent today can disappear shockingly fast when something better comes along. What “essential” industry or resource of today do you think could vanish in the next 20 years?

And a rewind to the Rocket Assembly and Test Facility (MIK RN/MIK 112) at site 112. This facility would also be reused for the Buran program, handling the assembly of the Energia. This is also the building whose roof collapsed in 2002 destroying the only space-flown Buran orbiter

I de-wormed NASA in the '90s. At the time, it felt right to bring NASA's meatball back from retirement to reinvigorate that Apollo spirit we had when we got man to moon in under a decade. We were in a time when the end of the Cold War was indicating the end of our robust space program and the Challenger tragedy caused immense angst across the nation. The team and I felt we needed a symbol that was reflective of that aggressive spirit we had in the 60s to *explore and win*. Different times call for different symbols and emblems.

¿Sabías que la NASA tiene actualmente dos logos con estilos completamente diferentes conviviendo al mismo tiempo en armonía? Abajo te cuento sobre "The Worm" y "The Meatball".

best thing you can do for weight loss is to stop thinking of it as a sacrifice. you're not sacrificing shit. you're building the body you want. being hungry is GOOD, it means you are getting closer!

Exploring random topics, driven by your own curiosity, is the most valuable form of learning. This is where the real outlier ideas come from. Whereas running a startup is the intellectual equivalent of being dragged by a horse.

Don't start a startup in high school. What if it works? You'll lose the opportunity you'd otherwise have to explore random, interesting ideas, driven only by curiosity. Because while you will indeed learn a lot from a startup, you won't have any choice about what you learn.

When I think of Lok Sabha strength being increased from 543 to 850, my first thought is not smaller constituencies, more responsive representatives, and all that. It is - 307 more VIPs. That many more entitled rulers, free tickets, perks, security, expense, sigh.
