"By targeting an independent journalist and an award-winning investigative organisation, the Chinese regime is demonstrating its determination to silence reporting that exposes Beijing’s disinformation efforts in the Philippines."

I’m sure her speechwriters meant the opposite – that carpooling, cycling, and planning one’s schedule will help conserve energy and fuel.
Pero wala, her saying this in an official announcement video or message to the people means SHE DOES NOT VET, CHECK, OR UNDERSTAND HER OWN SPEECHES.
Mas worse pa eto sa AI generated speeches.
This is a speech that someone made, which sya dapat gumawa. And kahit may pinagawa syang iba, dapat chinecheck niya.
This shows the level of incompetence AND negligence of Sara Duterte as a leader. 👊
Kung maging Presidente eto, Cabinet Secretaries and her subordinates can just submit whatever they want and hindi nya i-do-double check.
That will be a disaster for the government and the Filipino people!
Yan ang tatakbo sa 2028?

No offense to a lot of you, but it seems the Philippines is the only country in Southeast Asia where people on social media “laugh” at the fact that innocent children were killed by Tokhang or any other mass genocide.
None of the other #SEAblings laugh online at genocides.

"Evil comes from a failure to think. It defies thought for as soon as thought tries to engage itself with evil and examine the premises and principles from which it originates, it is frustrated because it finds nothing there. That is the banality of evil.”

The laugh reactions toward victims of killings is a prime example of the banality of evil. Many of these people would not kill themselves but are drawn to Duterte because he gives them the license to behave badly—but they flip out if they are harassed the way they harass others.

'TRUTH IS THE ANTIDOTE TO THE VIRUS OF IMPUNITY'
WATCH: Atty. Joel Butuyan said the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte “has not stopped impunity,” likening it to a virus that has spread across the country.
“A cancer that has metastasized, infecting millions of Filipinos,” Butuyan said.
The victims' counsel told ICC judges that so-called “Duterte clones” and "mini Dutertes" continue to harass and threaten victims, sustaining a climate of fear even as proceedings continue in The Hague, Netherlands.

Victims’ counsel: If the charges are not confirmed, one of the gravest concerns of the victims is that Mr. Duterte will return to the Philippines as a conquering hero. He will resume preaching his gospel of impunity… It is a very serious concern of the victims that Mr. Duterte will be portrayed in history by his multitude of followers as the leader who vanquished the ICC and who cleansed his country of 30,000 “rapists, murderers and dangerous criminals,” which were the scornful words he sweepingly used against all those who were killed in his murderous spree. | 📷: ICC

ICC PROSECUTOR SAYS CHARGES AGAINST DUTERTE ARE ‘ONLY A FRACTION’ OF CRIMINALITY
ICC Deputy Prosecutor Mame Mandiaye Niang told judges in The Hague Monday, Feb. 23, that the 49 incidents of murder and attempted murder included in the charges against former President Rodrigo Duterte — involving 78 named victims — represent only a sample of the broader pattern of systematic attacks during his so‑called war on drugs.
“The charges are merely a fraction of the overall criminality that resulted from Duterte’s so‑called war on drugs,” Niang said in his opening statement, underscoring that the listed incidents are not exhaustive of the conduct prosecutors allege occurred.
The four‑day confirmation of charges hearing, running from Feb. 23–27, will determine whether there are substantial grounds to send Duterte’s case to a full trial. #DuterteAtTheICC

This confirmation of charges heals something (I don’t know what really) inside. We used to think the murders and the horrors of Duterte will only be contained within our islands—but hearing the charges being articulated now by the prosecutor makes you hopeful. #DutertePanagutin
