法 is one of those characters that links two worlds in Chinese ⚖️
In English, “law” and “method” feel separate.
In Chinese, 法 covers both: what’s allowed, and how something is done.
That overlap is useful for learners.
When you see 法, you can usually guess the sentence is about rules, systems, or a way to handle something.
It also explains why everyday phrases sound so natural:
没办法 is not “no method” in a textbook sense.
It’s “there’s no way” in real life.
Next time you meet a new 法 word, ask one question:
Is it talking about legal rules, or a practical way to do something?
Save this. It’s a high-frequency character with a big payoff. ✨
