News about arbitrary suspension of journalists on Twitter is worrying. EU’s Digital Services Act requires respect of media freedom and fundamental rights. This is reinforced under our #MediaFreedomAct. @elonmusk should be aware of that. There are red lines. And sanctions, soon.

@eirliani, a friend of mine, and former member of Twitter's Trust and Safety Council (now disbanded), tried to add her Mastodon handle/url to her Twitter profile - but failed. Twitter now considers Mastodon MALWARE and blocks both the addition of links and the display of handles!

Neither Cernovich nor Logan themselves made any direct threats against the former Council members. H/o, the 2 became vectors for harassment by framing the resignations as somehow tied to a CSAM conspiracy, thereby making the connection to a well-worn extremist talking point. 10/
