BREAKING NEWS: A Nigerian-led team at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has achieved a major milestone in malaria research. The scientists determined and deposited the first-ever crystal structure of Plasmodium falciparum transketolase bound to an inhibitor in the global Protein Data Bank — the first entry authored entirely by Nigerian researchers. Led by Dr. Olatomide Fadare, the breakthrough could fast-track the development of next-generation antimalarial drugs amid rising resistance to existing treatments.

Yes, it's true. Accounts from 15th-17th century European explorers, like Portuguese captain Lourenco Pinto and Dutch writer Olfert Dapper, describe Benin City's palm oil-fueled metal lamps illuminating streets, especially near the palace—centuries before London's first public oil lamps in 1684.

Obianuju Anthonia Ibeanu is the first Nigerian woman to give birth to nonuplets—that is, nine babies at once (three boys and six girls). The babies were born on March 23, 2023. Although delivered in Nigeria, the babies have since been relocated to Douala, Cameroon, where their parents reside.

On one of my episodes of online dating. The Nigerians are never getting out of the online deception/fraud labels.
