My friend Victor Daniel on his Facebook dropped some very very insightful comments responding to this very tweet I’m quoting on seyi tinubu and most Nigerian rich elites that I just have to share.
Bottom line is, this people see but literally do not understand in any way,the plights of the average Nigerian…

I think Seyi Tinubu is a more horrible person than his father. Because he is young and he sees the struggle of the poor people he is sharing food to. He knows, he knows that meal cannot last them one week. But he is sharing it knowing he has done nothing to impact them.

As someone who doesn't care about standing on a topic alone or being dragged or abused over a trend
There's so much misunderstanding & misinformation about the workings of solar technology. You are all wrong⚠️
Now for those who care to learn a thing or two on power dynamics⚡️ :
If u have a 2kwh battery & u want it charged up in 3hrs using solar panels, u will need constant 600watts
Now because solar panels are not 100% efficient, and accounting for rain, cloud cover etc, u will need to install at about 1500 watts worth of panels ( 3 pcs of 500watts panel), now this means no matter what happens during the day; rain, cloud, fog, even if the panels are generating at a low 30% capacity due to these natural factors, u will have a steady supply of at least 450 watts to make sure those batteries charge up in about 4hrs, and during peak sunlight periods, u have more than enough power to even play around with✅
The goal is to have a calculated solid array of panels to accommodate all these factors, not installing 1 panel and expecting Aladin magic to happen❌
If u want fast & stable solar charging for ur solar setup, install panels of at least 60% of ur battery capacity ⚠️
If u want to be charging and using appliances at the same time, u will need to factor in ur average load and increase the panels by that same factor & make sure u have a hybrid inverter for better efficiency, the more panels u have the better
Yes it is expensive & not many can afford it due to due to the state of the economy sadly, but Solar technology is something u should all be grateful it exists, do not use ur biases or the fact that u do not have enough information on its workings to trash it
Yes solar systems are not replacements for the grid. But they are the available alternatives to survive the situation
U can attack me, I do not care
I will only state the mathematical facts🚶

Once we enter raining season, all this talk about Solar will enter grave and everyone will be out shouting for PHCN again.
