@JimmyV29 My son and I are the biggest Rays fans in DFW. The Rays are back and playing winning baseball again because of plays like this.

Nobody talks much about Puebla, Mexico 🇲🇽 Mérida and Querétaro are Mexico's value spots according to everyone and their mama Plus, 95% of foreigners in Mexico are either at the beach or in CDMX So it's easy to see why Puebla gets skipped over, but maybe it shouldn't... → $500-1,000/month for a 1BR in the colonial center → $1,500-3,000 total for a genuinely good lifestyle → Two hours from CDMX → Fantastic weather → University city, good nightlife → UNESCO historic center → Arguably the best food scene in Mexico → Homicide rate dropped 41% last year → No "gringo tax" yet It's not a beach town, there's no expat bubble, and you'll want basic Spanish But if you want city living and a version of Mexico that actually feels like Mexico... Puebla might be the best value play in the country

@eknott11 Wow you're right. Your first start on 10/7/2001 was a Pitchergami! 3.1 IP, 7 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4K is crazy considering there were 8 runs scored while you were pitching. What happened in that game?

Baseball is a fraternity and a lifestyle. Mac Dawsey enters my game in the 8th inning for UNC. I look at his bio. I see his dad is Jason. He was on my Milb team in Beloit in '96, and I called his Midwest League no hitter. I ran into him after the game. 30 years ago!

Game day starts long before the first pitch. This morning Pearson asked for one of his favorites homemade biscuits with protein chocolate gravy, eggs, and sausage. It’s a southern classic that gives him exactly what he needs before a long baseball day: carbs for energy and protein for recovery. The biscuits are homemade, the chocolate gravy gets a boost from CorVive Protein + Collagen, and we added eggs and sausage to round out the meal with more protein and fats. The goal on game day isn’t just one meal it’s fueling the entire day. This breakfast sets the foundation. Later he’ll have his usual filet mignon steak sandwich for lunch, then another lighter sandwich and snacks before the game. The game isn’t until 7:30 tonight, and Game 2 is against McKinney Boyd, so we’ve got plenty of time for digestion and spacing out his meals so his energy stays steady all day. Good sleep. Good food. Good preparation. That’s how athletes show up ready to compete. Parents fuel your athletes. #Prosper #GoEagles #Baseball #districtbaseball #gameday #game2 #mckinney #mckinneyboyd  #TexasAthlete

@foutsjeremy Pound a filet for lunch, hit a tie-breaking two run game winning bomb 💣 later. Love it.

Game day nutrition isn’t random it’s planned. Pearson has his first district baseball game tonight vs McKinney Boyd, and if something works, we don’t change it. So today he ordered his classic filet mignon sandwich, the same meal he used during last season when he played well. The goal isn’t just to eat it’s to fuel the entire day correctly. About 6 hours before the game, he’ll eat the steak sandwich with toasted bread and provolone along with his CorVive Hydrate. Later in the afternoon after hitting, he’ll have a turkey sandwich with mustard, lettuce, tomato, and pretzels for more carbs and lean protein. Then about 30–45 minutes before the game, he’ll have a quick carb source with a tortilla, honey, and banana, along with CorVive Energy for focus and performance. During the game he’ll sip on Hydrate between innings to stay ahead of dehydration, and we keep simple dugout snacks ready like fruit snacks, fruit jerky, or applesauce pouches for quick energy if needed. Game day success isn’t just about practice it’s about fueling the body throughout the entire day. Parents, pay attention to how your athletes are fueling before competition. Fuel them athletes. #Prosper #GoEagles #MckinneyBoyd #Districts #Game1 #WalnutGrove #RockHill #Baseball #TexasAthlete

It’s more than a ladder after I think about it. Turning my daughter’s room into a tv room since she’s grown. I can still see the Disney green and Pretty as a Princess pink on the ladder that I painted for her when she was 8. Time is a thief. Cherish every minute.

@Seth_3773 @nashvillesounds Great description of the old stadium. Sampled some really good moonshine in the visitors clubhouse, courtesy of the clubbie. The only visitor clubhouse above single A worse than Nashville was in Shreveport.

Nashville Is number 2 in the top 5 places I’ve called home during my professional baseball career! @nashvillesounds #Nashville Sounds (AAA) 1. Stadium/Field Nashville today is a whole new ballgame, but back when I played there, that stadium was barely hanging on. Basically one of the worst I’ve seen—old, falling apart, and nowhere near the new stadium they have now. Strangely, the field itself was always in good shape. Grass was green, the dirt perfect, and the mound always right—credit to the grounds crew for keeping that place playable. I have to say, the guitar-shaped scoreboard—iconic, even when the rest of the place looked like it belonged in a salvage yard. I hated to give it a low score, but you gotta be honest: 4/10. 2. Front Office/Coaching Staff Huge, heartfelt appreciation for the Nashville front office. I will never forget how @DougScopel treated me. When my grandmother passed, I was losing it, and Doug just took care of everything—handed me a plane ticket, arranged a ride, sat me down and supported me. To this day, I don’t know who paid for it, but it’s something I’ll always respect. If it was just the front office, give them a 10. But, being fair, the coaching staff brought that down. My second stint, I landed two of the worst coaches I’d ever had—one had zero idea what he was doing, the other tried way too hard to act like he did. But my first time through, the staff was aces! So, splitting the difference, I’ll go with a 6/10. 3. Clubhouse/Locker Room These clubhouses are a story. The old ones—there were two of them—made you feel like you were in a dungeon instead of a ballpark, and rumor had it, one was so bad the city shut it down. BUT…the clubbie, wow. If you needed something, he found a way. The food was always good, and he took care of us—real pro’s pro. Good clubhouse guys make all the difference, and I can’t say enough about ours in Nashville. 6/10. 4. City It’s Nashville! What else do you need to say? This city is top tier—bars, live music on every street corner, the food, the nightlife. Blondes in cowboy boots, and…really nice restaurants. Only regret? I wasn’t single at the time—could have written a much different story for myself in Nash-Vegas! 10/10. 5. Fan Base Props to the Nashville fan base. Even with a falling-apart stadium, they still showed up loud and loyal. Not a ton of minor league towns could fill nasty old stands, but Nashville did it especially on the weekends. 7/10. 6. Living Situation Living in and around Nashville was easy. There were plenty of affordable apartments and houses, either out by the ballpark or just a little ways out of town. Never a struggle to find a good spot, which is half the battle in the minors. 8/10. 7. Team Chemistry Triple-A can be brutal for chemistry—guys grinding, guys bitter, guys just trying to survive until they get the call. But both my seasons in Nashville were huge exceptions. The teams I was on had real camaraderie. Everyone got along and we pulled for each other rather than secretly hoping someone blew it. Two really special groups—love those guys to this day. 9/10. Total: 52/70
