Welcome announcement in yesterday's budget statement from Minister @CArchibald_SF of £17m to mitigate the loss of #WinterFuelPayment for thousands of older people. We will be seeking info and engaging with @CommunitiesNI Minister @gordonlyons1 on how this will be used.
It is more important than ever that older people are protected from discrimination.
@niexecutive should bring forward new legislation to prohibit age discrimination in goods, facilities and services.

There is an urgent need for transformation of and investment in health and social care services to support our #ageingpopulation.
This should be an immediate priority with adequate resources allocated to the Department of Health to enable transformation, not just to manage existing pressures.

In 3 days we vote for MPs in #GE2024
Here's a reminder of the key issues older people chose for the #Act4Age campaign. Firstly, we need action from govt to keep older ppl out of poverty, like protecting the pension triple lock & improving access to benefits.
