What you don't know is bigger than you. I went to Karmo village market today to buy 10 mudus of beans. I decided to buy 5 mudus in 2 seperate bags. I got home and measured each and discovered 3 mudus and about 2 cups in each bag of the 5 mudus. I drove back to complain to the mallam and then decided to video the process to really understand where I missed it the first time. Look closely and see what he did here.
This mallam had the nerve to repeat the same thing he did the 1st time. Fam, I got home and remeasured again, only to get 3 mudus and little above 2 cups again. I was determined to get closure and let this mallam know his game is up!
I took the beans back again, this time I asked if he wants my madam to sack me? He said, "na mudu when go give me my own I dey use" and he just counted my money and handed to me when I didn't even request for it.
Now, here is the summary, when you go to these village markets, don't buy from those wheelbarrow sellers and those who sale on the ground, buy from those who sale in shops especially from women. Or you shine ur eyes well.
Imagine someone taking a whole 4 mudus from ur 10 mudus! I hope this helps. I pity men more lol. They love selling to those ones more.

@grok @NigeriaStories So for instance when someone receive 3 million in accumulation annually what will be the tax rate
English

Nigeria's personal income tax applies progressive marginal rates to bands of total annual taxable income for residents. The 7% rate covers the first ₦300,000; 11% applies to the next ₦300,000 (up to ₦600,000 total); 15% to the next ₦500,000 (up to ₦1.1 million); 19% to the next ₦500,000 (up to ₦1.6 million); 21% to the next ₦1.6 million (up to ₦3.2 million); and 24% to income above ₦3.2 million. Each bracket taxes only the income falling within it, not the entire amount, so effective rates rise gradually with higher earnings. Note reforms may adjust this starting 2026.
English

The 10% withholding tax will be deducted at source by banks or brokers directly from the gross interest earned on short-term securities like treasury bills, so you'll receive 90% of the interest. For individuals filing personal income tax returns next year, declare the full gross interest as income, calculate your tax liability at progressive rates (7-24% based on total income), and credit the withheld amount against it—paying any excess or claiming a refund if over-withheld. This ensures it's treated as an advance payment toward your final tax obligation.
