Amorim and Carrick were given two very different responsibilities.
Amorim was appointed to rebuild Manchester United from the ground up, to establish a new identity, culture, mentality, and style of play as part of a long-term project. That was never going to be an easy task, especially with the amount of structural and behavioral issues within the squad.
Carrick, on the other hand, was brought in as a caretaker, tasked with steadying the ship for six months. If Carrick had been asked to do what Amorim did; clearing out deadwood and confronting poor attitudes from players like Rashford, Garnacho, Højlund, Antony, and others ;he would have faced the same backlash Amorim received.
Much of the hostility toward Amorim wasn’t about results alone, but about clashes with fan favourites and his willingness to move certain players on. That, more than anything else, fueled the hate.
Carrick is doing a solid job as caretaker, but it’s important to be honest: he would likely have struggled if he were responsible for laying the long-term foundations of the rebuild. What he’s benefiting from now is the groundwork already put in place by Amorim and his coaching staff.
You can see it in the improved set-piece structure, Bruno playing with more discipline, and the growing chemistry between the attacking players, the connections between Bruno, Cunha, Mbeumo, and wing-back Amad didn’t appear overnight.
Carrick is building on an existing foundation, and to his credit, he’s doing that well so far. ❤️🫱🏻🫲🏽

@pascoraldo7 @AllForUnitedWFC @TheAthleticFC Skinner stopped playing her because she is not good enough! And United keep on winning this season! When will people start to realise football is a competitive sports and United is a football club but not a charity?
English

@AllForUnitedWFC @TheAthleticFC Excuses. They tried to sell her behind her back when she traveled for her brother's burial. Plus skinner stopped playing her . He made her lose her place in the Brazilian National team. She's hurt
English

A source close to the situation speaking to @TheAthleticFC
"Geyse has had the most support out of any player at the club. She has had a translator during her whole time at United and worked with psychologists and wellbeing teams. She's had one-to one support and a whole team around her."

@AliceTalksFooty United cancelled the award ceremony because both mens and womens team were underperforming... yeah the womens team won the fa cup but was beaten by Chelsea at home for 0-6 in the season finale. They were 5th at the table which was totally unacceptable.
English

Man Utd’s treatment towards their women's team is horrific:
They have been waiting for good facilities for years, only to be kicked out of them and moved into portable buildings so the men can now use them. The awards ceremony was cancelled for everyone after the women won the FA Cup due to the men's team underperforming. The women were not informed of this and found out on social media that it had been cancelled, despite many players changing holiday plans so they could attend.
Ratcliffe (new co-owner) pretty much admitted he is ignoring women's team matters:
Jim Ratcliffe was asked about his plans for #mufc's women's team in an interview with Bloomberg. He said, "We haven't got into that level of detail with the women's team yet. We've been pretty much focused on how we resolve the first team issues."
Not to mention Earps leaving on a free transfer, as well as potentially our top scorer and other key players this season. You can’t blame half the squad for wanting to get out.
The facilities, training ground, and treatment of the team are levels below Arsenal and Chelsea WFC.
All this in the last month, not a good look for INEOS. I am aware the majority of money comes through the men's side and it will always be the main focus, but the pure neglect towards the women's side and their achievements this season is pretty worrying.

@StretfordPaddck so give a chance to dean? dean deserves that chance after de gea made mistakes and mistakes and mistakes throughout the season
English

There could be a huge difference between Erik ten Hag wanting to genuinely keep De Gea and having to keep him because there’s no guarantee he’ll be given the money for a goalkeeper.
Worth bearing that in mind. #MUFC

@1ManUnitedNews if the rebuilding process starts with signing new contract with de gea, i'm done honestly
