Ryan Gosling should absolutely contend for the Oscar for Best Actor in a few months. I’m talking to you @TheAcademy. I understand that a lot of big films have yet to release, but we’re over halfway through 2026 & I have yet to see a leading performance that’s definitively better than what Gosling does in Project Hail Mary. PHM & The Odyssey are two massive, unforgettable blockbusters leading the charge in 2026 at the box office. I expect them both to lead the charge at the Oscars as well.

Oppenheimer is the most flawless Nolan film. Every scene is a joy to watch, the actors are insanely precise, the cinematography is beautiful, the directing always elegant and inventive. There is literally nothing to criticize.
