I had that moment today laying in the hospital. I asked one of my doctors, “So…what really happened?” The doctor looked up at me. He said, “Sir, you died and were brought back to life.” And that put it into perspective. I still don’t remember the past week. But I’m grateful.

Dude, you have no idea what the day will bring. It’s so freaking true. You go to the ER with a chest, doctors do tests, then tell you, “this is bad,” and they immediately call hospitals, then you’re on your way in the air. Only thing you have time to think is: What the hell?

@kstatevangirl @DScottFritchen Not going to lie, it can be an uphill battle every day. I still do not have my stamina back to pre-AD. Having a great support system and family surrounding you cheering you on every step of the way goes a long way. Plus, he has all of Wildcat Nation behind him. 💜

@catfan28 It is survivable. I am living proof of that. My open heart surgery to repair my aortic dissection was two years ago today. Prayers lifted. I did not need my valve replaced, but I did get a graft around my aorta. Keep those prayers going. He’s most likely still on a vent for 1 day

False, but that's not meant to diminish what IU's accomplished.
KSU was going to shut the program down if Bill Snyder didn't win. He literally saved the program / entire town.
Indiana's reached higher heights in a shorter time, but if we're talking impact it's still Snyder

Avery Johnson is one of one. I don’t give a damn what his on-field legacy is relative to the hype, he has MORE than delivered as a true ambassador of K-State and the state of Kansas. Hopefully his unwavering belief in this program and its people never gets lost because it’s the real story of who he is and what he represents. Special confidence and maturity in an era of instability and immaturity.
