Heads up @SandyofCthulhu they want my fried chicken sandwiches next time - I’ll have to let you know how they like them :)

Update! I can reveal that my dad took the quiz and only scored 80% with himself. :-D
Nathaniel@NathanielGivens
Someone created an LDS theology quiz that pairs you with the most similar LDS theologian based on your responses. I had to write my dad an apology email when I got 78% for Blake Ostler and only 75% for my own father. lds-theology-quiz.vercel.app
English

@cosmosadderall Hey I got around that same score for Smith. It was a cool quiz :)
English

Kinda interesting quiz, even if the results don’t mean much. Asks a fun set of questions that aren’t always explicitly discussed

@eldritch_goof please, no need to be drastic. it's called for, BELIEVE me
English

@kremlincardinal Yesssss I’ll even stop posting Missouri hate
English

@kremlincardinal I wholeheartedly agree with all of this. Especially Gogol. I love him so much lol
English

@eldritch_goof oh, and Gogol was WEIRD but fun

@kremlincardinal It opens your eyes for sure. Loved the exposure to other writing styles and approaches to the challenges facing them
English

@eldritch_goof Same here. Loved most of what I read, didn't like some of it, but man, what a ride.
English

@kremlincardinal Yesssss!!!!! I love this so much haha. I love the classics - still have some of them on my bookshelf
English

@eldritch_goof My guy, my master's degree is in Russian Studies with an emphasis in Russian lit!!!
And yeah, Chernyshevsky is a little b-word😂
English

@kremlincardinal All of those! Although I did specialize in central Asian lit (I demanded the professors let me do reports on them and they let me)
But yes lots of the classics. I even read Chto Delat by Chernyshevsky. It sucked
English

@eldritch_goof okay, hollup
Russian lit?
AS IN CHEKHOV AND TURGENEV AND PUSHKIN???
English

@kremlincardinal Heck yeah! I think any higher education is valuable, even if you don’t use it every day. Will never regret getting a degree in Russian lit and another in political science. Higher education is awesome
English

@eldritch_goof I was very fortunate to only have to pay a little for it (got a teaching assistantship that covered most of it), and I have ZERO regrets about getting it
English

@kremlincardinal That’s fair! Yeah I’m not anticipating a huge change immediately, although now I do have a much better idea of how to do some critical work I regularly do.
English

@eldritch_goof I went to get mine thinking I was ready for a career change, but by the time I finished, I was happy in my job again.
It's provided SOME benefits but hasn't really changed my career path.
English

@kremlincardinal Ah! Hopefully to help with my career, but I largely did it for the love of the game. I love stats and wanted to learn as much as I could about it
English

@eldritch_goof What's the goal for the degree? Move up in your job? Path to better job? Educational/statistical bragging rights?
English

@kremlincardinal Thanks man!! Happy to have it behind me haha
English

@eldritch_goof Dude, comps are BRUTAL. This deserves the most epic of celebrations!! Congrats!!

@eldritch_goof My wife (teacher) makes more than me, cooks better than me, has done more home repair than I have, and is our gardener.
I bake better (though it's so close), am the primary dog-walker/entertainer, and lawn care "expert"
Worked beautifully for us for 18 years
