This is a critical political moment that Afghan democrats can either use by showing impetus for an Afghanistan that is governed the way Afghan people want, or squander it away by wasting time in purity tests over who did what in the 80s till now. From the looks of it, everyone who claims to be a well wisher of Afghanistan is comfortable with the status quo - you get to claim victimhood from a distance, while doing no substantive work for change. Or I may be wrong, and that is precisely why political stakeholders should show momentum and initiative, and begin to center Afghan voices - especially women.
