@elefalch
MS Entomology student 🐜🪲Mom, wife, science lover. All opinions are my own✨

#UFIFASIRREC MSc Candidate Emily Le Falchier defends her research “What makes a thrips tick? Investigating drivers of pseudophilothrips (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae) persistence in the field.” Dr. Carey Minteer supervises her work. @MinteerLab @UFEntNem #BioControl

The lab also helps manage the release of approved biological control agents like Brazilian peppertree thrips, air potato leaf beetles, and tropical soda apple beeltes. We actually got to see @elefalch release some Brazilian peppertree thrips onto a Brazilian peppertree!

Leading entomology education and outreach programs can be a valuable professional experience for any entomology student. One master's student shares her experience and advice on getting involved in community education and outreach. @elefalch @EntoStudents entomologytoday.org/2023/04/21/ent…
