This is most likely true. Xabi Alonso would be a smart hire for Chelsea. Therefor BlueCo won’t be hiring him.

Is this about you not being BlueCo out? At this stage it makes no sense to still be saying you’re not BlueCo out just cuz you don’t think the club will be sold or that you think it’ll take years to sell. If you want the best for Chelsea then you would want to push these shit owners out instead of hoping that Boehly takes control and magically fix everything. These owners have destroyed the club in every aspect and the only hope left is to get them to sell up and get owners who aren’t as incompetent as BlueCo.

If we can't get Fabregas, get Alonso. That's based on our squad profile. But we can't make the mistake of going into next season with Rosenior, unless we are ready to sell 15 players, buy another 15 players, and start from zero again. We didn't do that for the more established Pochettino; we shouldn't do that now.

This summer will show if we are really serious or not. We have built a squad that's 2-3 experienced players [especially at centre-back] away from being competitive. If we don't address that, I will be disappointed. We try to save money but will still lose that money if when don't make Champions League. It's counter productive. If we don't realise that by the summer, then I will give up and wait for whenever the team matures. The fans have suffered enough for this project. It's time to give something back to them.
