Welcome to Singapore! 🇸🇬 For those going to @xrplapex and need some places to eat and don't know where to start then here you go! I have lived here a little over 5 years and it can be a little overwhelming when coming into a new country. An easy way to determine if the food is good is to check if there is a queue. Singaporeans like to queue for great things. I put these places somewhat near the event. If there is no link to google maps, they have plenty of stores around so just google. I suggest bringing tissues and wet tissues with you everywhere. Stop by a 7-11 or Watson's/Guardian and pick some up or you will be wiping your hands with the receipt. For traditional breakfast: Soft Boiled Eggs, Kaya Toast and Kopi (very strong coffee. I usually get a a kopi-o kosong (means no sugar) - basically a Singaporean Americano. Ya Kun Kaya Toast Toast Box I prefer the coffee at toast box but the kaya toast is better at ya kun. For KBBQ places that cook for you... yes, they cook it for you and it's awesome. Feel free to check out China Town as well. There are other food that you should try such as: Char (or Fried) Kway Teow Nasi Lemak Laksa Mee pok Fish Head Soup / Fish Soup Frog Porridge (not a fan) I usually don't eat those as often unless I am with a group of friends and family and they typically will order it in.
