Remember that Sora was once considered “too dangerous for general release,” and that Mythos will one day (in the not so distant future) be considered an extremely dumb model.

“Rest enough for the individual man, too much and too soon, and we call it death. But for man, no rest and no ending. He must go on, conquest beyond conquest. First this little planet and all its winds and ways, and then all the laws of mind and matter that restrain him. Then the planets about him, and, at last, out across immensities to the stars. And when he has conquered all the deep space, and all the mysteries of time, still he will be beginning.” – H.G. Wells, The Shape of Things to Come

I strongly suggest we start thinking deeply about how to watermark real, camera-captured imagery instead of watermarking generated content.

@malikules I know the guy behind this. He literally just drove around to farms in the Midwest, knocked on their door, and asked to film their cows with a GoPro for data collection.

@DI313_ It was a temporary suspension and they’re already back flying again. They took immense safety precautions and sought FAA approval. No one was hurt. The FAA is by far the strictest governing body of airspace in the world.

‼️They attempted a mid-air plane swap-both lost their licenses as a result. Two Red Bull pilots, Luke Aikins and Andy Farrington, tried to swap planes mid-air at 14,000 feet. Aikins landed safely, but Farrington’s plane spiraled out of control and crashed. Both survived unharmed, but the FAA called the stunt “careless and reckless” and revoked their licenses.

And so it stays just on the edge of vision,    A small unfocused blur, a standing chill    That slows each impulse down to indecision.    Most things may never happen: this one will. – Aubade, by Philip Larkin
