Not higher than my chest, reinforcing the notion that they stop (approx.) at the height where deer or wild ungulates release pheromones rubbing over the tree. Can’t consider that climate has an influence on the questing height.

Wondering why Hyalomma adults quest on trees? Ungulates (deer, wildboar) like to rub over the tree, then grasping adults. Most probably engorged nymphs molt in the ground, then newly molted adults climb the tree.
