@FormulaUR_ I think Hamilton's style would allow him to dominate GT cars like Antonelli

It’s very easy to forget how good F1 drivers are. Yea there are incredible drivers across all the top categories in the world, but F1 is still a cut above all of them on the balance. If Verstappen drove GT3 cars full-time and committed the same time full-time drivers do, he’d dominate. Nobody would touch him. Likewise with the many other drivers in F1 who competed in non-single seater series and found immense success. Alonso already has prestigious titles to his name. Norris was electrifyingly quick in the Daytona 24 hours. Pascal Wehrlein, Esteban Ocon and Paul Di Resta were all DTM champions and Liam Lawson came as a runner-up back in 2021. I also believe Antonelli’s GT outing a few years ago is one of the single most impressive things a current F1 driver has done. He was a monster. If he went down the road he’d decimate everyone and everything.

How many people on the grid in 2022 could u trust to be ~0.1 clear of Russell in qualifying? Verstappen and leclerc(maybe) and that’s it Also hilarious how people act like Lewis sucked during the entire reg set. That was peak pace

Leclerc is 100% winning Monaco this year, I don't think it'll even be close. As guarenteed as a race win can be imo

If this continues for Japan as well, I think we can confirm that 2025 was a fluke result for Leclerc and that the ground effect cars were not for Hamilton.

@doumbelewis @FormulaPace Ye it's weird that. In 23 and 24 he put like 2.5 tenths on Russell in quali but was under pressure in the race

Only driver forced to start the race without any battery power and on the complete wrong strategy by the team, fights his way back up to P6, constantly in the fight for P5, and his fucking engine dies. Hands down the unluckiest driver Formula 1 has ever seen. Fact.

From lap 1 I saw this - through turn 1 Hamilton drove an incredibly tight line all race. Pretty much hugged the inside all the way around. All of that was to protect the left front. That was his focus all race and it paid off. Masterclass

LH masterclass in tyre management and racecraft Could see throughout the race he was taking a very tight line through T1-2 to protect the left front, and by the time all the overtakes had settled gave him enough grip to hold on.

Depends on how eager he is fighting for position. The more you fight, the more you lose. I’m shocked the drivers have not clocked that peloton style of racing we see in FE is infinitely quicker for overall race time than squabbling for the lead abusing overtake mode. FE was like that at the beginning of Gen2 as well - and it was only after a few races it all started to take shape. F1 is there now - but surely it’s a matter of time before we reach the point of the peloton.

If you look through my posts from pre-season testing - every single thing I said and predicted has turned out to be true so far. The mainstream media such as TheRace and Sky Sports were putting Red Bull and McLaren as contenders. It makes me wonder - what on earth are they looking at whilst being inside the damn paddock??? With far more limited access myself and many other accounts on here were able to infer a lot more about the cars, the pecking order and the driving styles than the actual media running the sport. We’re in a time where those outlets are only useful for insider information rather than actual analysis.
