We found that 1 kWh of flexible building load can provide up to $105 in gross grid service revenue by optimizing its electricity usage for just 20 hours out of an entire year, if the grid values are passed down to consumers.

The amount of reporting on public transit problems and funding issues in America is kinda mind boggling.
