lol Ryan Odom had literally the same amount of time. And for that matter basically every coach has the same issues, new and old. Then throw in it’s a crap shoot every year even if you hit the year before!

@LO_Wolfpack Does not affect it at all. He’s not a coach to talk flowers and rainbows when there are storms in the area. Team lost to GaT, ND, and an inexcusable loss to UM. Did to themselves. Have no true PG and D1 is no who he thought. Try again next year.

Every time I analyze lineup it’s met w/ “stop complaining, we run ruled a bad low major.” Maybe you don’t have right combination when you’ve been shutout by Princeton & Elon. You cannot waste this pitching. Marohn, Dudan, Consiglio. Andrews is something we may never have again

@LupusBeowulf How did he have minimal time for assessment? Odom was hired one day before Wade… he got his roster right with the same amount of time.

What matters now is how Wade responds: 1. Can he rally this team for the postseason? They ain’t gonna win any hardware but a couple post season wins would go a LONG way in terms of building fundraising and recruiting momentum going into next year. 2. Can he learn from his transfer portal mistakes? I’m generally optimistic here. This year was tough. He had minimal time for assessment. We overspent on players like Tre because we were rushed to build a whole roster from scratch with no retention. I think he has a pretty good eye for talent and will construct a good roster, presuming the school and donors continue to resource him properly. 3. Can he learn from his coaching mistakes? Directness is a great leadership quality. But it has to be coupled with love. You cannot make your players feel unwanted. I think he can learn from this season but he needs to tweak his style without overhauling it completely.

@ellenberg_mark @RWilliams_IPS I believe he is a great basketball player. Some players are just not built to be the #1. He was great as the #2 at TTU last year.

At what point does the focus shift to Wade for this slide? Dragged the players when they were playing well relative to now and look where that got the team.

@LupusBeowulf D1 has been a major disappointment. Complete whiff. I try to refrain from player comments. But, he seems to be very lazy on the court. Player of the year to the 4th best on starting 5. Complete whiff..period. He’s just not a great player.

We spent a lot of money on Arc, Deng, Breed and Scottie to sit them on the bench.
