🚨 Final Prop 50 results in all 52 of CA's adopted House districts. A very tough map for the CA GOP as almost every incumbent Dem's district was carried by Yes by at least 10%. And Rep David Valadao finds himself in a Yes+18 district now. Very tough re-election for him.

Today, I joined a protest outside the @USDOL to take a stand against President Trump and his unelected billionaire allies who are orchestrating a government takeover. We will not sit back and let this happen! Elon Musk already has billions, but apparently, that’s not enough. Now, he’s using a fabricated, unauthorized, and unaccountable “Department” to seize private tax information, undermine Medicare, attack public schools, and endanger workplace safety. No one elected him, yet he’s being given unchecked power. On behalf of my constituents, I will make my voice heard. And we will fight back together!

65 million seniors in America have paid into Medicare their entire careers and rely on it for quality service. This isn't theoretical. By attacking our constitutional system, Musk and his band of hackers are putting senior's health care - and therefore their lives - at risk.

At @POTUS's briefing in the Pacific Palisades, I urged him to visit Altadena & Pasadena to see the working class areas devastated by the Eaton Fire. 88-year-old activist Dr. Jackie Jacobs fled her home w/ nothing but her clothes on. Her federal government should have her back.

It was a difficult decision to return to Washington this week, but I need to be a voice for our community and ensure Californians who've lost everything receive federal disaster relief. Never before in American history has disaster aid been conditional. That shouldn't start now:

Our priority during ongoing extreme weather crises should be people's safety. Not spreading lies. Families have lost loved ones. They're returning to homes to find they have nowhere to sleep. Firefighters are putting their lives on the line to prevent more suffering. Do better.
