If an employer went against an occupational health assessment to force you back to work, you would get your union onto them. And that's exactly what unions need to do when it comes to this - the worker, and only the worker, has the right to decide if they're well enough to work

When I first started out all I wanted to do was get #Birmingham in the big magazines. I’m really proud of my seven-page feature on Birmingham and its indie bars, restaurants and venues in the latest issue of National Geographic Traveller. Out now! 🐂

The worst part is that so many young journalists have dedicated a *significant* amount of time to their craft and making sure they’re the best interviewers/researchers/writers they can be.

There’s a restaurant opening in a really flash part of town that has styled itself as a working class greasy spoon. Pie & mash is £15. Ham, egg & chips for £13. I’m not slagging them off, I will check it out, but it’s strange how upmarket parts of town are starting to fetishise the working class ‘aesthetic’. It’s a caricature now isn’t it? Pretend you’re working class without the bad bits.
