$SPY consolidating after big gap down into 200ema which many traders were eyeing to go long. Does the market/casino make these people winners today? We'll find out.

Have you ever seen a ‘bull’ flag that preceded a sell off? (or vice versa) These patterns are just a simple way to tell a story. For example, a bull flag is strong buying followed by consolidation. It important to look at the context. For example if you have a parabolic multi-monthly rally followed by a strong move up into major resistances, and then you start to consolidate, a strong move down would likely make more sense.
