Jason Williams officially renounces his status as a Florida Gator. The feeling is mutual.

@GeneralManagerO @THEGOAT82117652 @tempfadetj1 @nbanerdd Marks is just infatuated with Europeans for some reason😂. Demin’s gonna be an average pro but CMB or Queen had to be the pick. Instead of picking Powell should’ve just traded up for Coward. That might be hindsight 20/20 but those were the freaks of the draft process.

But that’s the thing, they just draft poorly. They took Egor over CMB, idk what I would’ve done, but I definitely wasn’t taking Egor. He had a 0 point game in college, got clamped so hard. Then they took Traore over Will Riley, and I had crossed off Traore because of efficiency. Will Riley wasn’t the most efficient but he had a couple 30 point games so I liked him. Then they took Ben Saraf and Danny Wolf over Rasheer Fleming. Anybody on NBA twitter would’ve told you Fleming was legit. So it’s like, with those 3 changes, the whole outlook of the Nets team looks different. And if you notice, my process is less about finding talent, but crossing out the duds. Because I’m more confident about who I don’t want to take, versus who I do. I honestly don’t know how they choose their prospects. Lowkey it’s just vibes lol.

So weird how a 6’6” guard with a 6’11” wingspan is getting zero attention for this year’s draft. I don’t know if his game will translate, But Quadir Copeland looks nice man.
KJ@KJScouting

6’6 PG Quadir Copeland is one of the most underrated players in this year’s NBA Draft. Copeland had a standout season for NC State where he averaged 14/4/7 and 1.8 Steals a game on 49/40/78 splits Copeland’s mix of playmaking, defensive versatility, finishing, handle, athleticism, and pace makes him one of the most unique and versatile players in the class. Copeland is one of the best passers and playmakers in the class at 6’6, and he uses his size, athleticism, handle, and decision making to his advantage to create for his teammates at an elite level while also being able to use his passing vision to find his teammates. Copeland also takes advantage of his positional size to create passing advantages. Copeland is just one of 3 High Major players taller than 6’5 who had an AST% of 40 as well. As a scorer Copeland is elite at getting to the rim and uses his craft and athleticism to finish through contact. Copeland was also a strong catch and shoot shooter who shot 46% off the catch. Standing a 6’6 with a 6’11 wingspan Copeland has the frame, athleticism and the instincts to defend the 1-3 at a high level as well. Since 2008 Copeland and Trae Young are the only two High Major players who had an AST% of 40, have a TS% of 55, and make 100 shots at the rim.

@GeneralManagerO @THEGOAT82117652 @tempfadetj1 @nbanerdd Oh I agree. But if there’s a chance someone will give up a lot of value, I’m taking it. The mistake was keeping all 5 first rounders last year and not turning that into 2-3 picks this year, especially when you don’t own your 1st next year.

@GeneralManagerO @THEGOAT82117652 @tempfadetj1 @nbanerdd Yea that’s a terrible comparison. Cam is and was a one trick pony. Acuff can do it all on the offensive side. His defense is definitely shaky, but he’s got a passable size and tenacity. If he’s somehow not there, I would mind a trade back to get Philon, who I LOVE.

@GeneralManagerO @THEGOAT82117652 @tempfadetj1 @nbanerdd I respect it. Earned a follow from me. I’m a downtrodden Nets fan who needs a good player here. Seems at 6 we can the chance at either Acuff/Flemings/Brown. I’m a huge Kingston guy and probably has the least bust potential out of the 3, but the upside of Acuff might be too high.

@ellllyeah19023 @THEGOAT82117652 @tempfadetj1 @nbanerdd That’s why it needs to be combined with the eye test. Players that create separation, attack space and draw double teams. That was something Anthony Edwards did really well, and I missed on him. I had LaMelo at 1, and I still think LaMelo is better ngl. Just slightly tho.

Definitely a better prospect than Beal at the same age. Same with Booker, another similar player. But this draft is really really deep too. Like Acuff is averaging 24 and 6, 2 turnovers on 48/44 splits and he won’t go higher than 5. I have him at 3. So it feels like 8 is huge disrespect, but this class is just crazy.

Could be, honestly I look at him as a Bradley Beal type of player. That’s obviously solid, but it’s not a winning player. There are some things he does better, like his 3 point shooting is better, and he doesn’t waste as much time when he has the ball. But I don’t see a player whose main skill is scoring being as good as everyone thinks.

@ellllyeah19023 @THEGOAT82117652 @tempfadetj1 @nbanerdd He was an exception genuinely. But I look back and he’s a freak athlete. No one like him. Also, I don’t think we would be talking about Edwards the way we do if he wasn’t shooting 40% from three. That changed the narrative around him, and that’s rare tbh.
