This should be the best 2026 NBA Mock Draft you will see. Even if I’m wrong about certain prospects, the driving philosophy behind each selection should result in an excellent overall success rate. I look at 3 main things: 1. Efficiency – 50% from the field or 40% from three is an easy bench mark to filter out bad prospects 2. Production – Big games, elite stats in one or multiple categories, and playing well against tough competition (specifically looked at games against Michigan & Houston) 3. Eye Test – Creating separation, attacking space, drawing double teams and making talented plays are all markings of a future star Let’s get started.

ROUND 1 1) AJ Dybantsa — Washington Wizards • 34.8 min • 51/33/77 • 25.5p/6.8r/3.7a/1.1s/0.3b/3.1to Floor/Ceiling: Andrew Wiggins/Tracy McGrady/Kobe Bryant 2k Overall Rating Range: 85-96 GM Zero’s Notes: I can almost guarantee, AJ Dybantsa will average 20ppg in his rookie season. Situation matters a lot, but he’s a gifted shot maker who needs to be the unanimous number 1 overall pick. Incredible footwork in the post, with the ability to attack left or right, leading to open layups, floaters, and open midrange jumpers. Also, I have a ton of faith in his perimeter shooting. While shooting 33% from 4 attempts a game, AJ maintains 51% from the field, while averaging 25ppg from 17 field goal attempts per game. Lastly, and I don’t hear this mentioned enough, BYU is not a good team. AJ Dybantsa was consistently and constantly navigating double teams with success. This draft class is loaded, but you do not take any risks with the number 1 overall pick. @WizardsMuse, y’all got a good one. Team Fit: A+ Trae Young, Anthony Davis, Kyshawn George, Will Riley, Tre Johnson, Alexander Sarr, and Bilal Coulibaly make for an incredibly talented Wizards roster. Adding AJ Dybantsa to the mix only makes for a brighter future.

I do not hate Nate Ament as a prospect. The “in theory” archetype of player is one worth swinging on in the lotto, but for the Bucks specifically, I don’t like this pick. The track record of developing this kinda prospect in MKE is just flat out bad. I have hope tho🙏 #AmentFc

@GeneralManagerO I hope so... he should play 14-20 minutes in regular season so he really get used to NBA level of game and then Lakers will be able to use him in rotation in playoffs and to be able to do so is HUGE thing for rookie.

Caleb Wilson to the Bulls just makes perfect sense A big market and a player with a big personality. Maybe the best pure athlete in this class and his game is just going to continue to evolve Chicago’s trying to restart and this is a great way to get moving in that direction

There aren’t many 6’7, 20 year old primary ball handlers who can self-generate paint touches, navigate screens and flash the craftiness that Sergio De Larrea has...⤵️ Sergio De Larrea isn’t a particularly impressive finisher at the rim, 58.7% and just 43.7% as a driver, BUT his foundation but physically and from a skillset perspective is more advanced then he gets credit for and is a better foundation then a number of projected lottery picks. At 6’7, De Larrea boasts true positional size and strength, which he pairs with impressive burst and handle to create legitimate separation, both in isolation and out of the pick-and-roll. As a ball handler, he plays with advanced pace, regularly snaking screens and getting defenders stuck on his back. He is exceedingly comfortable dribbling through the heart of defenses. Once in the lane, he has the frame/strength to handle moderate physicality but it’s his craft around the rim that really pops and highlights his offensive upside. Players at De Larrea’s size rarely have his combination of pacing, ball handling and creativity. His ability to play at top speed while being able to immediately de-accelerate is exciting, especially at his size. He does a great job actively keeping defenders on there heels, with a set of slight dribble hesitations and eye/head manipulation. He plays off two feet in the paint and has an awesome step-through game. De Larrea’s 9.0% turnover rate and 22% free throw rate as a driver only add to the optimism around his offensive projection. #NBADraft #SergioDeLarrea @NoCeilingsNBA

@SadeekCreates I’m so convinced he’s gonna be a bust. 50% of it has to do with him going to the Nets

Mikel Brown will be the 2nd best guard in this class imo. Sucks hes stuck on the Nets Lots of people hating on him cuz he “plays like Jordan Poole” People forget Poole was almost on pace to be Curry replacement till Draymond & then he got sent to rot in Washington Mikel is him

@NicThomasNBA I think he should go all in off the ball. Would be an absolute killer at SG, who can take 1-2 dribbles and get to his spots whenever he wants.

This Utah Jazz team is going to be one of my favourite to watch. Darryn Peterson fits in seamlessly with this Jazz group, and I like that he won’t be expected to be the PG. What makes Peterson so special is his ability to play not just on, but off the ball. With Keyonte handling the ball, Peterson is able to curve the defense and create advantages for himself and the offense.
Draftstack@TheDraftstack

Despite some speculation, the Utah Jazz stayed chalk with the second overall pick, selecting guard Darryn Peterson out of Kansas. Peterson, touted by many — myself included — as the top prospect in this class, still found his way into the top two despite a roller-coaster season. Peterson dealt with everything from hamstring issues to full-body cramps, halting what was otherwise a stellar freshman campaign. Nonetheless, when he's on the court, Peterson is a special shot-creation talent and one destined to help turn around a Jazz franchise that has otherwise been spiraling. - @ojury_007 Check out our in-depth scouting report on Peterson at the link in the replies below! ⬇️ 🔗

neutral. Safe pick from a conservative safe team. When looking back on this draft, I think there's a good chance we'll see GSW could've done better. Feels like he can be a solid future role guy on a contender. But GSW is not a contender. Role guys need shot creators around them
