I think there is something to be said in generative sample creation. For example, splice has an awful search function when you search for ‘woman who shouts killa sound’ or something, it doesn’t know how to search for that. If you want a small individual samples I think it can be a useful tool but for whole song hooks it’s lazy

i hate this argument so much, you have to embrace the boring because it guides your decision making
sick of writing the same hook 25 times? find a diff approach and maybe you’ll find a part in that process that sparks another decision that you would’ve never made otherwise

Teddy Swims says he sometimes uses AI when making music: "Instead of taking time to reproduce something over and over and over again in so many different ways that would take months sometimes to do, you can get the idea of what something would be fully fleshed out in this lane...If you use it the correct way, I think it's a beautiful tool.”

So for the past 2 years I haven’t been getting @SoundCloud royalties because I hadn’t signed up for the artist verification, I was getting roughly $20 a month and that was before I had as many followers as I do now, what does that mean for all of the plays that I’ve accrued since then? If anyone has had this issue let me know I’d be interested to find out

I hope I'm wrong.
But tonight feels like some sort of invisible line has been crossed that we didn't even know was there. The last time I felt like this was 9/11 when it was clear, without knowing the how and the what, that the world was about to change forever.
Like the rules of the game had been permanently altered and there was simply no going to back to the innocent, peaceful past.
I didn't feel like this when an attempt was made on President Trump's life. If I had to rationalise why I didn't, I guess it's because several US Presidents have been shot at and even assassinated. Somehow it was within the realms of the possible, no matter how awful.
But to murder a young father simply for doing debates and mobilising young people to vote for a party that represents half of America? This is something else.
Charlie's death is a tragedy for his wife, his children and his family. I don't pray often. I am praying for them tonight.
But I fear his murder will be a tragedy for all of us in ways we will only understand as time unfolds.
I hope I'm wrong.

Whatever your views, he was open to debate and was a really sincere and authentic person. Real loss. Anyone that celebrates death is sick @charliekirk11

@hosun_chung Part of the reason the nightlife industry is struggling in the U.K. is due to everyone being broke and venues can’t afford to keep the lights on.

@sterlingcrispin @levelsio Mate this is awesome, makes me wonder how humans first came up with music, we would have tuned the first bone flutes to the sound of birds singing
English

This is one of the craziest ideas I've ever seen. He converted a drawing of a bird into a spectrogram (PNG -> Soundwave) then played it to a Starling who sung it back reproducing the PNG.
Using the birds brain as a hard drive with 2mbps read write speed.

Just watched the whole thing and I don’t think anyone has said it so spot on from a young person’s perspective. The world is pitted against the youth and this is a peaceful way to rise up. Would love to translate this into the music industry to root out corruption and allow artists to be supported directly by fans who get rewarded for doing so!

Is anyone else getting the same bug on @SoundCloud when trying to share private tracks it generates a new private link every time so no one can listen to it??
