I am seeing firsthand what AI is doing to developers and others in corporate America. The replacement narrative now changed to an augmented worker narrative where we spin up agents that do repetitive things. The reality is AI feeds into capitalism’s biggest greed factor feedback doom loop . Operational efficiency (translated from corporate speak we are firing people to goose up our numbers for investors because we didn’t sell enough widgets) . We outsourced all our manufacturing and now all our intellectual capital. The next earnings report is all that matters in a world that if you follow the doom loop winds up with no consumers because the majority of people are or will be unemployed. Government is so far behind it doesn’t even try to do a graceful transition. It can’t because government is the most inefficient organization on the planet. I seriously wonder where the tax money will come from when all this plays itself out at breakneck speed?

Plan B if Bitcoin won’t work out.

When Bitcoin Core went rouge they actually woke us all up. In the end this gives node runners additional options other than just Knots. This will further erode Bitcoin Core’s hold and ensure the developers stay conservative to Bitcoin’s role as money.

First off, please stop calling Bitcoin crypto.. it’s not a casino like the ALT coins. I know you know the context.. BTC is the big dog it moves the shitcoins not the other way around. Not to this extent. No major reason for any of this no FTX crash nothing. Not even any credibile narratives on this. It’s risk off yet AI and copper mining stocks still going strong. I think it’s something else.

@adam3us As I explained I don't support BIP-110 but imo it's a consequence of ivory tower stubborness and dismissing concerns of a fair share of its users. Combined with inconsistent handling of controversial pull requests. So here we are to find out what happens with a minority fork.

I tend to agree, but at the same all of this could have been avoided by Core not bending the knee for faked market demand and fantasising future demand and recklessly lifting the limit completely. For what, 23 data transactions? But hey, that's just my opinion.

@adam3us beyond the technical conversations a lot of people have lost faith in the core devs as conservative stewards of the project that won’t push through controversial changes on a whim. People vastly underestimate what this means for the project as a whole. I am in a holding pattern at the moment, as against my own self interest I am loosing faith in the project by extension. Not a good outcome.
