@Kiserino_DOOT @extremaratio69 Copyrighted distribution isn’t just a “choose another service” system. Criticizing the system is fair, but stealing is still illegal. You aren't getting any service. You're running in and stealing and then running away and wondering why the chef is mad at you.

@elyperish @extremaratio69 I just said it doesn't justify it. We should pay authors, not pirates. I agree with you that no one is entitled to someone's work, but to solve an issue one must look at the root cause. If a restaurant has good food but bad service, do you go back or go somewhere else?

@sow_LIBRA11 I think many of us know that most mangaka, animators, and game developers are not rich. But the executives at Sony and Kadokawa (who are wealthy) are not paying them higher salaries regardless of how many copies are sold or how many times it's viewed on legal streaming services

@OldSanity @extremaratio69 If the outcome of your “solution” is that creators don’t get paid and projects get cancelled, that’s not bargaining power, that’s just removing the work entirely and hurting the creators first.

@elyperish @extremaratio69 Yeah. it's called standing up to your bosses and getting fair pay. Did you forget you guys had to make an "American" role at your jobs because you guys were too afraid to tell your own corpo higher ups "no boss. this idea sucks." you really forgot about that didn't you?

@jopesanvieira @RShmuleyGroyper @kyuusyuha_001 You don't understand respecting artist's wishes. You think you are a victim. You think you are entitled to other people's creative work. You think you can force them to obey and conform by stealing from them. That is wrong.

@jopesanvieira @RShmuleyGroyper @kyuusyuha_001 We are not talking about demand. We are talking about theft. People who read it through piracy stole it. "But it got popular" doesn't matter All that matters is the artist's consent. And the artists says no. No means no.

Entende a incongruência?

@FTNegligence @oshino_sasuke It's not an access problem. It's an entitlement problem. You see something you want in the window and grab at it like a child. You are not entitled to another person's creative output. They owe you nothing. No means no.

@oshino_sasuke See how japanese pirates are bragging about how they are just cheap, but westerners are telling you its an access problem? If someone can buy it but chooses to pirate it, they are scum. We just don't wanna be grouped with them. Western fans buy what they can. We want to support!

@jopesanvieira @RShmuleyGroyper @kyuusyuha_001 There is theft. You are stealing an artist's intellectual properly. They said no. You took it anyway. That is stealing. "But it isn't in my country" is not justification, it is entitlement. You are not entitled to an artist's creative output. You are a thief.

@Sapphiretyan @RubeeAmadare That doesn't matter. If you can't afford to not infringe on an artist's rights, then you don't get the content. It is not a human right. It is not air. It is not water. You are not entitled to other people's creative output just because you want to watch cartoons. No means no.

@rainrrrain @extremaratio69 Hahahahaha Of course I am. I feel so bad for you. @rainrrrain @extremaratio69 Artists are paid. The middlemen also receive proof that the artist is profitable, ensuring future employment and more money for the artist when they are hired for additional contracts. It is SO important to support artists through their publisher so they don't lose their jobs.

@elyperish @extremaratio69 But it is not equivalent to paying the artists, because the artist is not getting paid. Everything has already been paid for long before I even have the opportunity to purchase from the overseas publisher. The deal is already done.
