Hi, @reginatboyce. I am currently writing a paper on the gender wage gap and the effects it has on families. As part of the assignment, I am to get an expert on the topic to tweet some solutions at me! If possible please tweet back and let me know any solutions you have. Thanks:)

The wage gap, but more specifically the gender wage gap is an ongoing problem within the world. Here is a website by the Canadian Women's Foundation that discusses some possible solutions. canadianwomen.org/blog/closing-g…

@em203malcolm your concept map on wage gap was really great!!! I love that you identified problems with gender, race and sexual orientation. I think that other problems with wage gap could be based on geographic location or education level. #EM203problems

@EM203SJoseph Your concept map on poverty is a very important topic, and well done. One problem within poverty is the variation based on location. There are different levels/standards of classifying poverty depending on location #EM203problems

@EM203pgalvao Your concept map on social media was very well done and well thought out! One problem within social media is the variance of social trends/acceptable actions depending on location in the world. #EM203problems

@EM203pcarmichae Your concept map on sedentary behaviour was very well done! You made very strong connections to your topic. One problem within sedentary behaviour outcome is it could differ from person to person based on a person’s genetics and lifestyle. #EM203problems

@EM203SAMUELWANG Hey Samuel! I agree, this course has been very fun. The digital world plays a huge role while learning in this day and age. Even before the pandemic, most of our learning came from online, and now more than ever the digital world is the forefront of learning.

The first three weeks of EM203 have been great. I really wanted to learn the tango but resorted to sudoku cause I don't have a dance partner 😭. However, I also have a stronger understanding of the digital world and it can benefit me in a learning environment. #EM203Robin

@em203noahtooke Hey Noah! Technology is so important for our learning. It makes learning much easier and quicker than it would be without the use of technology. Constructivism plays a large role in the online learning process, as well when collaborating with others.

The first three weeks of EM203 have allowed me to understand better how technology can facilitate our learning. I enjoyed week two when we talked about constructivism which allowed me to see how these learning theories are incorporated into teaching models. #EM203Robin

@TommyAtLaurier Hey Tommy! I agree, there are so many pros and cons to online learning. With so many opportunities and ways on communication that online learning provides it is very helpful, but as you said, not everything on the internet is trustworthy.

The last couple weeks have been interesting and fun. Learning in an online environment can be extremely easy given that information is easily accessible, but it also comes with a downside as there is lots of misinformation online! #EM203Robin

@deor3210 Hey Cassie! I completely agree, hands-on work is very important for learning. Just like the learning activity from class, we would not have been able to learn to knit, dance, sing or do a sudoku puzzle without physically doing the activity.

Throughout my time in this course, I have learned about the importance of "learning by doing" and experiential/hands-on work. In this digital age, there seems to be many benefits to various learning theories. #EM203Robin

This week in EM203 I learned how to sing a verse of a song I like in German. Languages have always been something I am interested in so it was quite fun! #EM203Robin

Over the past three weeks, I have learned the importance of technology in this digital age. Overall, this course has brought me to learn more and more about the world through the twitter aspect, and I am excited to see what more I will learn! #EM203Robin
