@RachelReevesMP@UKLabour It’s a pity in that case that you’ve brought the office into disrepute. The first female chancellor- hang your head in shame accepting what is essentially bribes
@RachelReevesMP@UKLabour I wonder how many of those were on the take - shame of you Labour MP’s. As far as I’m concerned you will never live this hypocrisy down.
@CCHQPress@Conservatives This isn’t to do with the above. For goodness sake can’t you get on and pick a new leader. We need an opposition, quickly! Especially before this autumns budget. It’s not really good enough to have no opposition.
For 14 years, pensioners paid a heavy price for Tory failure. A crashed economy, plummeting living standards, health and social care on its knees and rising crime.
This Labour Government is committed to making pensioners in every part of the country better off.
@Keir_Starmer Gosh now the pensioners are saving the NHS as well as covering the black hole! Suggestion charity begins at home. Cut foreign aid and the money given to Africa. But no, fleece the Uk population as usual. How about MP giving up their heating allowances. You MPs know no shame.
I want us to look back and say:
This was the generation that took the NHS from the worst crisis in its history and got it back on its feet and fit for the future.
@Keir_Starmer If I could say this face to face I would. The hypocrisy runs deep - you claim a fuel allowance. Your bills are capped. You have a gold plated tax free pension. You received bungs running into thousands from a Labour donor. Do you have no shame?
@RachelReevesMP Sorry you are not correct for the pensioners born before 1950. Suggest you read some of the comments in the papers. How much did you claim for heating, how much do you earn? Then released prisoners being housed in hotels??? Really????
This Labour Government was elected on a clear mandate of change. That change can only happen by fixing the foundations of our economy.

@Keir_Starmer Sorry don’t compare yourself to the Queen. If you are going to tax pensioners are you going to have a u turn and pay tax on your tax free pension? Hypocrisy at the highest level.
Today marks two years since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The late Queen’s dedication to the UK and Commonwealth taught us that whatever challenges our country faces, the value of service always endures.
For the 70 glorious years of her reign, she was at the heart of this nation’s life.
Today we honour her memory.
@RachelReevesMP I suggest you watch this video as to what your dear leader had to say about pensioners facebook.com/watch/?v=46371… please don’t use the black hole as an excuse.
We are under no illusion as to the scale of the challenge we have inherited from the Conservatives after more than a decade of low growth and a £22 billion black hole in the public finances.
That’s why we are taking the tough decisions now to fix the foundations of our economy.
@RachelReevesMP I see councils are asking for proof that parents can’t afford school fees. What a nasty vindictive act to put vat on private schools. You really are the nasty party.
@Keir_Starmer Fixing the foundations- huh! Councils asking if parents can afford school fees because of no places in state sector. Vat on school fees so spiteful and vindictive. Nasty nasty government
@Keir_Starmer The black hole you have just made bigger by awarding pay rises. Is that fiscally sensible. Would it be possible to publish the accounts to the electorate. This government is untrustworthy
@Keir_Starmer No you are not. Looks like the Germans think the Rwanda plan would work. Another own goal - shame on this government. When are you going to deal with immigration - or was that another lie before election?
@RachelReevesMP So if the Conservatives left a 22 billion black hole ( which is questionable) what is the amount now that you have awarded pay rises? So instead of improving finances you have made them worse. Oh wait a minute is the winter fuel allowance covering the amount on pay increases? ??
The Conservatives crashed the economy and left a £22 billion black hole.
Labour are taking the tough decisions now to fix the foundations, so we can rebuild Britain and make every part of the country better off.
@RachelReevesMP I wonder Ms Reeves how you expect pensioners on just above the threshold to manage when apparently on £86000 you apparently struggled with your finances. Are you Labour MP’s going to forego your heating allowances and other allowances. Shame on you all.
