The more sensitive "we" as #mentalhealth #educators are, the more explicit we are about the ‘norms’ directing #MHpractice, and the more personally engaged we are (both with circumstances and potential consequences), the more ethical we become. Should we ask ourselves for more?

The NMC's report shows racism and discrimination are affecting internationally educated professionals’ ability to provide safe, effective and kind care. There is an urgent need to better support international recruits and ensure they feel valued for their skills and dedication.

Couldn't put down 'Young Mungoe by @Doug_D_Stuart An immersive and beautiful story ❤️ Amongst many other provoked thoughts, this book shines a light on the socioeconomic factors which shape our lives, and by proxy, our mental wellbeing.

New survey by @calm - 20% young women were told they were being 'dramatic' when seeking help for mental health - 27% were told it could be hormonal - 19% felt dismissed or invisible The trope behind this is crystallised in the label BPD which is weaponised to invalidate pain.

661 days since the Taliban banned girls from going to school, and 201 days since they banned women from going to university. Afghanistan is the only country in the world where education is denied to women and girls. How can the world still stay silent? aljazeera.com/amp/news/2023/…
