@ramblersscot @bluewoof @HighlandCouncil Have you or the Council's planner tried to walk the core path across Coul with a dog? We have. Just not possible. It's easy to walk along Royal Dornoch Golf Course though!

@bluewoof @HighlandCouncil The council's access expert disagrees: "I do not consider this proposal has adequately considered public access in the context of the HWLDP policy 77 as no meaningful attempt has been made to maintain aspect of the current amenity...particularly along the core path."

Realignment of 8th on @RoyalDornochGC . New fairway will skirt top of ridge (right hand line) rather than follow old railway line (left hand line). Then over ridge and down to same green. New hole 423 yards long from yellow tee Better view, more challenging. Opening Apr 2023.

Still looking decent into November

It was last at @GolspieGolfClub in 1987 I reckon so was nice to get reacquainted today! It was really good. Such an unusual mix of links, heathland and parkland. I’d thoroughly recommend playing here when in the Highlands. From next week it’s £30 a round to the end of March.
