@EG_Red_Crescent continues its support for #Gaza’s response efforts without pause—at ERC logistics centers in Al-Arish ,10 Egyptian ports, all the way from Egyptian Rafah border to delivering aid to #Gaza, and in receiving the medically evacuated and their companions. @ifrc

While aid is reaching #Gaza and bombing has stopped, the situation remains dire. Grateful for the intensive days spent with the @RodeKruis, visiting the services of the @EG_Red_Crescent to support the crisis response in the Middle East. A huge 🙏to our Dutch colleagues for coming to Cairo and supporting the @ifrc and ERCS in our joint efforts to respond!

This week, I had the opportunity to visit the operations and warehouses of @EG_Red_Crescent in Ismailia & AlArish, where we assessed capacity and needs for aid for Gaza. We are grateful to have @eu_echo as partner in strengthening ERCS in responding to the Middle East crises.

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we prioritise mental health at work, esp. for Red Cross and Red Crescent volunteers & staff working in challenging contexts such as conflicts. They deserve safe spaces to share emotional struggles. End stigma around mental health! #MentalHealthMatters

To prepare the field visit to Ismailia and Al Arish with DG ECHO we went to the Emergency Operations Centre of the @EG_Red_Crescent to understand their vital role in the emergency response to the crises in the Middle East.

Devastating floods have affected over 15,000 people. The Romanian Red Cross has been on the ground since day one and will continue to support as needs grow.
