@LauraRbnsn I feel like you are completely missing the actual issues here. You can’t compare kids and adults anxiety levels. Kids today are growing up in a completely different world than we did as Gen X/Xennials. Just the threat of school shootings is enough to give kids crippling anxiety

I don't really understand how this happened. I don't believe that Gen X and millennial parents feel neglected and traumatized by their upbringings and are trying to prevent the same thing from happening to their kids because we are much more mentally healthy than our children. I

This is a very good essay by @KelseyTuoc on childhood independence. The fact that 1/3 of Americans think a child has to be a literal teenager before they can be left home alone for an hour is lunacy.

@RachelReneeRee1 Can you share a source for how far along she was in her pregnancy? You say “she gave birth to an infant”. Was the baby she gave birth to viable? I think that is a valid question that I have not been able to find an answer to.

This woman was not arrested for miscarrying her baby. There was a year long investigation after she gave birth to an infant, left it to die outside by an embankment, called emergency services, and DID NOT TELL THEM, and left the baby when she went to the hospital. Be honest.

Seriously—what is a woman who has miscarried supposed to do “legally “ in a red state? If she is in the care of a doctor does he report her? Does an ER report her? The grief & physical distress of a miscarriage in itself is a punishment. But the state wants to punish her more? Does this include MAGA women? Why do they vote for this?

Look. I hated that Trump post too. Inexcusable. But do you want to know what is even more inexcusable, racist, deranged, and humiliating to our country? That time you said this of Francis Collins: "The smartest friend I have...He has modeled for many of us what it means to love the Lord, to love neighbor, to love one’s enemies." Even though knew full well that Francis Collins: 1. (Under his leadership at NIH), funded experiments using body parts of pre-born babies between 18-20 weeks, including grafting human fetal skin onto rats. 2. Enthusiastically supports LGBTQ 3. Promotes DEI/Critical Theory 4. Promotes Darwinian Evolution When someone asked about this in a Q&A, I would have loved to have seen you muster even half the outrage energy you apply to Trump. Which shot was the shot that actually killed her, and if it was the 2nd or 3rd, through the side window - how can that be justified

@BenBurgis @meagankday Another fact I don't see discussed is location of 1st bullet hole in front window shows may have been too far to left of Ms. Good to kill her, but ICE goon's 2 shots through side window left no doubt. No way he felt 'threatened' at that point.

For a psychology course at the University Oklahoma, Samantha Fulnecky was asked to write a 650-word essay reacting to an article about how people are perceived based on societal expectations of gender. In her essay, Fulnecky argued that traditional gender roles should not be considered stereotypes. She cited the Bible to support her stance that eliminating gender in society would be "detrimental" because that would put people "farther from God's original plan for humans." She received zero points out of 25 on the essay. Transgender professor, Mel Curtis, said Ms. Fulnecky, failed to use empirical evidence/and called parts of her essay offensive. "To call an entire group of people 'demonic' is highly offensive, especially a minoritized population," the instructor wrote in the online grading platform. Fulnecky says she followed the assignment guidelines and should not be penalized for her religious viewpoints. OU officials point to the formal grade-appeal process as the student awaits a decision. We at Turning Point OU stand with Samantha. We should not be letting mentally ill professors around students. Clearly this professor lacks the intellectual maturity to set her own bias aside and take grading seriously. Professors like this are the very reason conservatives can't voice their beliefs in the classroom. My dad didn't smoke, drink, dip, while working out almost daily and was not overweight - he was still diagnosed with Stage 4, incurable, prostate cancer at 55 and died at 59. Great plan bud.

🚨BREAKING: Our office is suing Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) for thwarting federal immigration enforcement. IPS currently maintains policies that frustrate ICE’s ability to do its job by severely limiting ICE’s access to school grounds and prohibiting IPS employees from assisting or sharing information with ICE. Sanctuary policies are bad in any context, but they are especially troubling in our schools. Schools across the country are vulnerable to infiltration by criminal illegal aliens—it's happened in many other states—and it is essential that ICE be able to take action when that occurs to help keep our kids safe. That’s why my office, with the assistance of AFPI, is suing IPS to enforce compliance with state law and protect Hoosier schoolchildren. The FBI and news outlets have run with any crazy “tip” they get and then retracted it later. “Sources” telling you he lived with a trans partner, when people in his apartment building have already been interviewed extensively, is insane. You think in small town Utah, a conservative hot bed, the guy lived in apartment with someone trans and no one noticed? Not one of the people that spoke to the press about him mentioned even a partner, never mind a trans one? But after 36 hours of having his laptop, and all of the claims of him being “leftist” being retracted and fake, and Kash Patel’s job being on the line - suddenly a new story from another unnamed source is exclusive to an administration friendly reporter, and just happens to fit the narrative they were looking for? It was literally a Fox News affiliate at Fox News 13 who did the apartment interviews days ago. You’re telling me they chose to just overlook the trans story? What an absolute trash rag journalist!

On numerous occasions, I have had the chance to engage with @RepRaskin on various issues in public and private. Even today, we debated my first bill on the house floor (he’s tough!). On an earlier date, he graciously hosted me, a freshman, to his office. He was hospitable, interested and interesting. We discussed politics, personal stories, and even philosophical topics. Of course, we may disagree on most things politically… However, I have found each conversation to be polite, engaging, and enjoyable. I appreciate his efforts and the conversations we’ve had.

@AttyAbdul Walked by Adams HS in South Bend this morning. Steady stream of people in and out, but no line. Friend said her husband voted there early this AM and was in and out in 10 min. Meanwhile there were early voting lines for 2-5 hours in the county over the weekend and yesterday.

@umichvoter I knocked doors in Grand Haven, MI yesterday with 92 others who drove up from South Bend, IN. We heard that it’s been difficult for the campaign to get volunteers up to the western and northern parts of the state. Folks we talked to were excited to vote for Harris!!
