Brilliant day at Frampton Marsh today. It ended on such a high note!! 🎉

I had a lovely walk along Happisburgh beach this morning. But unfortunately I came across two dead birds- a confirmed Gannet and a possible Common Tern (I think, it wasn’t fresh to ID it properly). Avian Flu? So sad 😩 (photos taken from afar and I didn’t touch the birds at all)

We've had a busy week on the road catching geese for #BirdRinging with 1,577 birds caught in 12 catches. Please keep an eye open for yellow & blue leg rings & white neck collars, and report sightings to waterbirdcolourmarking.org (Thread 👇🏻)

The beautiful Kingfisher caught at yesterdays CES @Pensthorpe. If you look closely at the feet you’ll see they are dark brown telling us this bird is a juvenile as adults have bright orange feet 👣

I managed to see the Norwich Lesser Grey Shrike this morning, from the car! Was showing very well 😊🎉 #lifetick

At least 3 Common Terns on Barton Broad, as well as singing Willow Warbler and 13 Great Crested Grebes (seen/heard from the boardwalk) 🎉🎉

@bodminking Yay! Hopefully they stay local for a while. Apart from catching, the only real way to get the number is by a photo 🤞🏻

@emilystarbug This sent me looking more carefully at mine (probably the same ones) and yes, I can see a ring on one. Are they readable without catching them?

Just had 2 male blackbirds in my garden and they both had metal rings on! Gutted I couldn’t see the numbers on the rings. Maybe they will return 🤞🏻
