Whilst I'm sad to cancel my last events of the year at Strumpshaw Fen (⛈️), this doesn't detract from how proud I am in raising c£2700 for @Natures_Voice in 2024 as a volunteer guided walk leader! It's a privilege sharing my passion with others for this wonderful place. 😄

@LingwoodMurray @RSPB_Strumpshaw They were both posing nicely so I'm glad you got good pics!

Fen Hide at @RSPB_Strumpshaw came up trumps again today. Both Water Pipit & Grey Wagtail on view for over an hour or so over lunchtime @bodminking

@Norwichbirder The bright colour made me pot it for a closer look (especially as there weren't many moths) and @applewildlife suggested keeping it to see if it moulted - fascinating to see that it did. I will record it

@KerrMick @norfolkmoths @MigrantMothUK Two years since mine in VC27 - your pics far better than my pot shot! Congratulations!
English

@VannaBartlett1 @themarshtit @thorogoodchris1 @OBGHA I counted 14 yesterday on my purple toadflax in Lower Hellesdon

@IainHLeach @BritishMoths @mothmatters Oooh, lucky you with the Marsh Carpet. It's about 7 weeks since this year's only Marsh Carpet in my Norwich garden. Are they usually this late at the site you visited? Or maybe just this year due to the weather?

Back from a few nights moth trapping in East Anglia. Marsh Carpet, White-spotted Pinion, Dentated Pug, Silver Barred from a couple of fenland sites. @BritishMoths @mothmatters

English

@FlyinginFordham @BritishMoths No. I did for a bit but then decided it must be a dodgy Silver Y so released it. Maybe regretting that now...

@norfolkbirdtour @norfolkmoths Great news - and welcome to the club Marcus!

Insane numbers of Forester moth in the Brecks today - getting a bit crowded @savebutterflies @norfolkmoths

English

@norfolkcanary29 Yep, everywhere under water with nowhere for it to go! Good luck on the bird count today - I'm guessing the grey wag was AWOL? On the plus side (??) there are loads of gulls around 😉
English

@BirdBeards I saw a big flock as I stopped at lights on Colman Road this afternoon.
English

@norfolkbirdtour I was there early afternoon and the Brents did keep giving it a peck !
